Every time I go to log into my account, it says

 I have redownloaded the game four times so far, and it says the same thing over and over again. I have also read the posts and tried to rename spash.dmy. I have tried renaming it Xspah.dmy, XSpash.dmy, and trickster.bin. None of these have worked so far. I'm redownloading it for the 5th time. If I cannot log in, I may have to quit trickster!!! =(

It says: "splash.dmy has encountered a problem and needs to close."

 I have sent error reports, but still cannot do anything.

 

Now I can't even update my launcher!

The Xspah was supposed to be Xsplash and the XSplah was supposed to be XSplash

 

HELP PLZ!

 

I'm having the same problem! The file crashes when I try to download updates or try to log in. Sometimes I can still login to play but other times it won't work. any ideas on how to fix this?

Renaming tricksters main files won't fix the problem

Did you recently update internet explorer to version 8? If so, delete it and install back ie7.

i think i analyzed what file its really complaining about

AppName: splash.dmy     AppVer: 1.0.0.1     ModName: urlmon.dll
ModVer: 8.0.6001.18241     Offset: 000176e5

 Urlmon.dll is a file off of internet explorer this file was made during my update to internet explorer 8 which may have caused the problem. I've read complaints online that this file has caused problems with many people. The trickster splash launcher relies heavily on internet explorer files working properly. If you look at the error details it shows you all the files that trickster uses and alot of them are internet explorer files.

 (After deleting IE8 beta 2 and installing internet explorer 7 the problem is now fixed )
