- Bunny: Very easy to use, doesn't need to have great equips to be able to level, personally found them boring but apparently many people enjoy them. If you are worried about rarity go Duelist, they may be weaker than a Champion but are a little less boring in my opinion since playing around with elements is fun. Think melee bard? ^__^;
- Fox: Unless you go melee fox leveling won't be very fast (read: rather slow) and you will have to get good equips for the build you are aiming for. (unless melee...) DA foxes will be good at digging but will need to spam blue pots like there is no tomorrow to level at a decent pace. Stone Strike does nice damage but the misses it gives you will drive you insane. Shuriken Master has better accuracy but requires expensive items to use and does less damage than Stone Strike. Gunner foxes are horribly slow to level until TM level 20 when you get invincible reload. Once you get there you'll have to start to cough up money for bullets and good guns to use, you'll also need lots and lots of HP pots since you won't be able to kite until TM level 40. You can kite after TM level 40 but don't expect to have gun skills until your third job so killing with normal attacks is what you'll be doing for a long long time. Even though what I just summed up seems horrible I still think foxes are one of the most fun characters to play.
It's really up to you to decide which character speaks to you more, both can be fun if they fit your style but as you can see I'm obviously a little biased towards foxes >__<
