Would these look good as a signature or avatar if they were a bit bigger (Siggy) or smaller (Avi) or maybe even cut? Would they look good with a picture or text in them? I don't know if they're that good becuase i'm a noob at this >.< Here they are:

    Eh.

My opinion as a designer is that those aren't good for anything but borders or wallpapers on your desktop.  You can't put text on things SO colorful.  It just wouldn't show up very well, no matter what color you made the font.  A picture on top might be ok, but only if the picture had a decent border on it, I would say.

You could, however, place a solid color rectangle in the center of each one, so that maybe...20-30 pixels around each edge is visible, so that the pattern makes a border.  Then you could safely put whatever you wanted in the solid part.

Hmmm... I understand but the text part is rather simple:

Also the text was really supposed to come out like that.

And I find that rather hard to read.  Part of the "H" blends in, and the blue swirls behind "Damsel" distracts from the word.  The background is too busy for text.  It takes precedence, visually, and having the text there just makes your eye jump randomly.  And that is a bad thing, in terms of design.

No. Try to sharpen it and give it some depth. Don't put too much colors and and try on a nice hue.
