I also don't know the answer to this solution, try the "If you cannot connect to the game after a recent patch" post.
banjoe:i get the same thing a window that says splash appears and i have no idea what to do and no one seems to try to help me i even used the 1:1 like 2 days ago and they havn't responded yet
Uhm, some people have suggested that deleting the splash item in your folder after you run splash, but I'm not clear what you're problem is... please elaborate or provide a screenshot.

Added 'if your splash client closes upon execution'.
This, I know, has happened to a lot of people. I'm not sure about the directory, as I am running Vista OS, so it's slightly different. But if anyone is willing to give me the correct route for XP, I'll be happy to change it.
banjoe:I'm confused about the splash thing because i don't even know what splash is if you could tell me it might help.
If you open splash, and your client immediately closes.
Now access your DEP (Data Execution Protection) and add splash.exe to that list. In order to reach DEP, go to your Control Panel, and then under System Properties, go to the Advanced tab, click on Performance, and then Settings, and then adjust your Data Execution Protection from there. (Information derived from thebes and race, so if there's any problem with this, let me know).
I'm sorry to bother you but... *points at the underlined* I've made it up to the Settings part and I have no idea how to adjust the DEP nor add splash.exe to the list (heck, I don't even know which is splash.exe *shotshot*)
Err, yeah. I fail at these things D:
banjoe:i know i must be bugging the crap out of you about this splash thing but i can't find the splash.exe in the folder. i really appreciate you helping the best you can i just get confused easily sometimes.
It's okay, screenshot the inside of your Trickster folder and post it here.

The problem with this is that I don't have access to a Windows XP OS right now, and I'm running on Vista. <.< So yeah, is there a tab that says Data Execution Protection? If it does, make sure to select 'Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only'. Or you can put, 'Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select', and then click 'Add...' and browse and find your splash.exe. Splash.exe is inside your Trickster folder, and it's called 'splash'. It's the executable file that opens up the launcher for Trickster Online.
Sorry if that didn't help, those messages are for my Vista OS, so they might not be applicable to Windows XP.
