I currently play a lvl 67 Lion that I started several years ago (played on and off most of the time), and my build is 1144. My question is: Will my damage be alot higher if I restart and go 4141/3142? I already have relatively good equips (pharaoh helmet, etc...)
Well your current build does provide the thing Gunners lack most: HP and DP due to no shield.
Of course your damage will go higher with more points in Power so AC grows faster, but you'll be effectively HALVING OR MORE your HP.
Of course, this is your choice. People have made the infamous glass cannons of 4141 build and still playing well.
Though of course, the damage increase is more noticeable in higher levels and when you got most of your 2nd job skills. You probobly wont notice much of a difference before Lv100. I think.

If you go 4141 pure AC, you're basically 'suiciding' yourself. Even with a ton of MyShopped gear (and I mean temporary character boxes, which are far superior to the permanent sets sold in MyShop like Lyr, Pluto, Venus, etc) you will still die horrendously often and I mean it.
If you go 4141 pure LK, your AC will still be just as high/higher than a 1144 pure AC build despite you not putting any points into it and your LK will be a lot higher as well, but you will suffer HP-wise. 4141 builds are mainly for those who are heavily MyShop funded, but for those who aren't I recommend 2143 pure AC. Your base stats aren't as important as the equips you're wearing.
*checks her Hunter Lord* She has about 580AC and 17k HP as a 4141 pure LK Gunner fox. With Lucky Seven and Aura of Luck, about 350-400LK.
You don't need to have a 4141 build to be powerful. :p
The advantage of 1144 is that leveling will be extremely easy. 4 in power gives you more AC, AP, and DX. Only AC are useful for guns so automatically gained stats - AP and DX are both going to be useless, and you get lower charm-you die easily. If you go 1144, you get 4 in charm -- HP/HV/DP are all useful for survival and you can put all bonus points in AC. This also allows you to comp everything with AC without having a hard time with grinding/mobbing/bossing since your HP/HV/DP are all already naturally high because of the 1144 build. Nothing goes to waste. Everything is used and optimized. If you go 4141, you'll be forced to compound equipment with HP/HV. Otherwise, you'll die very very very (did I say very?) VERY often.
Approximate stats: ( you may compare it to the 4141 stats :p)
600+ AC +1800 gun AP (equivalent to 90 AC), 23k HP, 315 LK, 250HV, about 3000 DP as a 1144 Gunner with both LK buffs and the +20 AC buff. With stella, this gunner can reach 320+ HV. Perfect for 10th and 11th floor of chaos tower, abyss field 2, and tap mine 2 (You go to all these places once you reach 260-320+). No 4141 gunner can get this much HV without sacrificing AC. 400+LK is reachable by sacrificing a bit of HP (1800~ or so HP -- change innerwear). Note: comps are not perfect yet. Not all equipment come from lolboxes yet. :p

Well, I made a 4141 pure LK gunner though. If you're just making it for compounding and bossing , I guess this would be the best.

But wouldn't LK be MUCH better for Gunners than HV? Since all other types but Magic will have HORRID MD and HV helps NONE againts Magic, unless you're a Raccoon or Kitty with Mana Relfector. Not that too many monsters use Magic it will be a pain againts ones that do. LK helps dodge magic and block all other attacks, even guns. HV does reduce gun damage though...
And considering a gunners hit rate is affected by LK and all gunners are Sense types which fgives a natural high LK growth, I'm just a bit puzzled how HV plays any part in a Sense types equipment.

Yeah, I get it that with a 1144 a high natural HV is good in case you didn't block. But still for Sense LK is superior to HV. But I do agree on the HP and DP part though.

LK is important. But the thing is, 300-350 is enough for the toughest monsters out there. You don't need 800 or 1000LK to land crits (or hit) on Spicy Dragon, Soki or Queen Odinea. 300-350 is enough to evade that deadly Arrow Rush of Queen Odinea, enough to evade Spicy's spells and Enough for surviving the lightning spells krybeths in abyss fields use.
If you're talking about PvP LK is important. The one with the highest LK will always win if it's a duel between gunners. LK = Hit and Evade rate for magic and guns. (this is for all of you who didn't know this).

Have you been to the higher floors of chaos tower? Probably not. Have you finished most of the Abyss Key Quests? I don't think so. LK won't save you from Chaos Beast Vicento's 26k Damage Uppercut in Chaos Tower 10th Floor. 1000 LK won't let you block a Skelefish's 26k Quad Punch in Abyss field 2. Lots of LK won't help you block enemy attacks while you're being constantly fainted by chaos mantises in Chaos Tower 4th Floor. 1000 LK won't prevent the added 11-12k Damage you get from Spicy Dragon's Faint. LK won't even give a slight chance of saving you from the berserker hits of monsters in Tapasco Mine 2. HV is the answer to all of these problems. A gunner with extremely high AC along with very high HV outclasses all other gunners in PvE (Player versus environment).

LK is superior to HV in PvP only. You don't need to go beyond the required LK to be effective anywhere else. 300-400 is very good already. This value is very achievable without any LK comps. Without even being pure LK.
