Alright so I'm a little confused about Sheep skills. Somewhere along the road I probably messed up. But I'm tired of being told what to do from other Bards. And every Bard is telling me something DIFFERENT. And when I ask why, they aren't even sure themselves! D:
"Get this skill", "No get that skill" or "Don't go dark, you should be a light witch!"
My original plan was to be a Dark/ Fire & Electric.
Here are my skills so far...
Level 87/73 and still have 17 skill points left.
Mana Arrow Mastered (>.> Don't remember doing that..)
Magicial Soul
Invicible Casting
Cure 10
Mana Ring 6
Seal of Fire
Seal of Thunder
Whirlwind Blaze 10
Electro Attack 10
Do I NEED these skills for my level?
Bolster Ballad, Mist of Mana, Arrow Rush
I was was told that I should delete Mana Ring and get Arrow Rush.
What is the difference between Scorching Earth, Incinerate, and Phoenix Rising?
Because they are all fire, is it okay if I get Scorching Earth at my level? Or bad idea?
Is thuderbolt a good idea? Or pointless?
If I remember, those were the two main skills I had planned on getting next.
I'm still a level 87 Bard. FAR FAR AWAY from getting anywhere close to going to 3rd Job. So I'm still debating between Dark and Light. I mean when I first started I wanted to be Dark/Fire&Elec. But.. I'm thinking if Light is stronger with attacks then I guess I'll just make another sheep that is Dark later on?
Any Advice/Stories from Dark Witch users? Pros and Cons?
Advice/Stories from Light Witch users? Pros and Cons?
Please no bashing for my choice of skills >.> , I'm STILL techinically a newbie because I started a few months ago. If I did mess up on anything I can always delete and fix it. Thank you.
heheh.....I was like you when I was a noob, a year ago........
Most people who are not fire/ elec, never ever take their advice........
You should NOT delete mana ring you'll need it for incinerate. Arrow Rush is useless for a fire/elec,( If you have a master's authority, delete mana arrow, unless you are going light)
DO learn mist of mana, it increases your MA. ( I didn't learn it until I was lvl 100)
Don't learn thunderbolt, its attack hits are random numbers
Scorching earth is good for your lvl, acutally all the fire skills are awesome(except fire shield, if you are not going pure)
Incienrate and Rising Phoenix are about the same, except incienate hits 2 targets( they have to be real closer to another), while rising phoenix hits, at max lvl., 5 targets I think, then if you are lucky, they will get burn and eventually die.
Scoraching earth, you use it on the ground then monsters come by and then they get hit, it's a good combo with electro attack( with electro shock)
If you are a PVPer, go light, for them they have more defense
Going fire/elec/dark, was my first intention, but then I decided to go Pure, since 3rd job sheep skills are still in developement, ( so then I changed at the last moment and I can always make a new sheep)
If you want to go pure, there's the blessing skills, which hits back the enermy.

debatable. AR is still useful even if you become dark.

yes, the sooner the better though.
usux:Don't learn thunderbolt, its attack hits are random numbers
yes, but can still be learned during your post game life which should be like 220+ish.

shield's just a pvp/gvg thing if your not pure.

incinerate, pre-requsite but still a strong skill; Not too practical for me but you can master it if you want. Phoenix rising, works like hellfire, but hits 3 targets max and is fire based instead of darkness based.

uhm.... a typo? Well anyways... scorching earth with electric attack (with electroshock) is what makes fire/elec mages level insanely fast once you enter monster crowded maps, like count trials.

Yes, a typo >.>........I rushing for school.sorry
RaverCub:Mana Arrow Mastered (>.> Don't remember doing that..)
If you plan on Mastering Arrow Rush, mastering Mana Arrow is good since it'll help increase each arrow's damage.

No matter what elements you are, you will eventually want to master Arrow Rush as it's a Non-elemental magic. When your Fire or Lightning fails you, you will always have another to back you up. ^^
You don't need to delete Mana Ring, you'll need to get it for your fire element at one point, depending on what skills you want to get.
Bolster Ballad, all depends on your preference. I heard from my Dark Lord friend that Dark Skills are very MP costly (not sure if this applies to second job skills though). I for one am keeping that skill as one of my last skills to master due to my 1441 build with tons of weight. I have plenty of weight for MP potions. I think if you have the time, calculate if you will benefit from this or not. Being a Wind Sheep, my Wind Blade is very spammable and has a low MP cost that I don't need Ballad for a LONG while.

My friend just made a sheep and she is annoyed with the randomness of Thunderbolt. This depends on preference once again. I don't like random damage. You think you can 1-hit a monster only to have to hit it another time or twice just to kill it. However, I've seen insane damages come out of that skill.

As for deciding, pick what you want. Years ago, I was basically asking the same question as I didn't know which I wanted to be. I really wanted to go Light, but everyone was like "You're 1441? You should go DARK!" That tends to get annoying.
Dark skills pwn though. If you want insane damage, that's definitely the element to go. I enjoy seeing my Dark Lord friend's Dark Barrier. I often get jealous that I can't repel attacks like he can. (A few times, he was just standing in PvP and people literally kill themselves off his Dark Barrier without him having to even move a finger.) I did ask him if it would be beneficial to be a Dark Witch, he says most of the insane attacks you really want are the third job dragon skills. He rarely uses the second job skills anymore. However, I think if it's done right, you can do really well as a Dark Witch. You can repel attacks, debuff random people, stun (with your lightning), and you'll have a DoT with your fire. That's basically a powerhouse right there. ^^
As for Light Witches, I love being a Light Witch. When I started Trickster, my friend told me 1441 is the best sheep build so I followed what he said. Made me so wackable that I couldn't even train. (I wanted a Light Dragon instead before.) When I got my Light Shield, I'm instantly in love. If you can get an insane DP equipment like a Blood Shield, Tenter Shield, etc. Equip with a good MA hat, staff, acc, vest, cape, etc. you can be a power-tanker. I was testing out my DP for my sheep, hoarded as much DP equipment as I could to see how much of a boost Light Shield will give me, for a 1441 Sheep, I can get about 5K DP which for a Mage is pretty insane (that will continue to go up as you refine or upgrade your equipment). For MD, with Light Shield and Mana Shield, I can get about 6K MD. You won't even have to use your Shield of Heaven at all. Unless you're going to boss and you want the extra defense in case of lag, etc. I'm actually not a huge fan of Shield of Heaven except when I know I'll need it of course. The time on it is so short that you constantly have to re-activate it. However, it is useful when you know a boss can critically kill you.
