Apologies in advance for being blunt about the matter, but I was wondering if anyone would be able to advise me on a Bodyguard guide for my HV I love you!.

Simply put, I was given a draft of this guide (below)

Use 4114 Build
Teacher
*Galder Thrower LvM
*Dodge Master LvM
*Physical Training LvM
Card Master
*Card Strike LvM
*Super Hips Lv1
*(Lv.5)Mana Reflector Lv10
Metamorphosis LvM
Wild Nail LvM
One Pair LvM
Duke
Volley Kick LvM
Sturdy Shield LvM
Shield All LvM
Team Bolster Lv1
Sumo Suit LvM
Full Reset Pot:After U Used This Put All Point To HV
Guidance Of Skill Master:After U Used This Delete Power Blow

And Change Ur Build To This:
Dodge Master Mastered
Sheild Skill Lvl 10
Phsycal Training Mastered
Card Fling Mastered
Sketech Learned

* = Skills learned.

By a friend of mine a year back in Beta. Now that I've come back from my hiatus off Trickster, everything's changed, including my tastes in gaming.

I picked up my mouldy HV I love you! and started to level him up yet again, hoping to make him as party-friendly as possible. From there the idea of making a Bodyguard I love you! seemed great, but I've run into a totally blank wall of cluelessness, and I can't seem to figure out how to twist this build around so that Bodyguard would fit in.
( Did they really lower the Galder Check amount for the 2nd Job Job Change? D: )

N/B
: I'd love to be able to keep Meta in the build if possible.

Safety: x1 Master's Authority,

Jewelia: (Pure HV I love you!) Base: 79, TM : 62

Thankyou in advance! <3

Perhaps if I take out One Pair for Body Guard?

I honestly don't like carrying all those cards with me. ):

Interesting... You mean the type to protect other players? O.o (Or what we call them "Tankers".)

I dunno... If you prefer the defensive/HV tanker... I don't think Cards are for you... *They're AP/HV based... Or so I read from the description.*

I'm not knoledgeable... But you seem to go on well so far~

That's the one! ;D

My build soley focues on the needs of other players, opposed to my own needs.
However, I find that defense is the best offense and vice versa (i.e. offense is the best defense in those one-off situations) which is the reason why I've implement the Cards into my build- just in case a party member of mine needs help with a monster/Boss.

As of now, my stats are Base Lv 98, TM 83 (I'm awfully unhappy with how I can't balance my TM and Base efficiently ;A; ).
With a few pushes and prods, I've decided to acquire both Sturdy Shield and BodyGuard RIGHT after Mana Reflector, which I have now Mastered. Additionally, I've Maxed out Sturdy Shield, and have Lv.4 BodyGuard, so everything is looking well and good, I'm glad to say! :D

However, now that I've stepped out of the Build's guidelines, I've got no clue as to what skill I should learn after Meta -> Wild Nail.

Would someone please help me with this build further?

Extra/Other Notes: An experienced friend of mine has persuaded me to branch off as a HV/HP Hybrid at Lv 101, where I will then start flushing all my points into HP instead of the Pure HV build I was planning to advance with.
He then advises me to push all my points back in HV as soon as I start level 2xx.

Does anybody have any advice they'd like to share with me on his suggested build?

Hehe what an interesting raccoon :) ooooh well..i thought you said you liked cards ^^'' so maybe one pair after meta? ^^' or you can just stick to wild nail ^^' hehhehe I love both :3

Oh and about that HP/HV hybrid thinge: Yea..that's what my friend did too XD because he wanted to make his Impelling Rage skill (tm lvl. 100) do a lot more damage because it's HP based :) It's a pretty decent build I think because you have lots of HP at your disposal and you probably will have a lot of HV and a lot of defense skills = awesome tanker :) Just a thing with the HP putting: If you get Wild Nail (based on HV), your attack will be slightly lower than the pure HVs but I hope it's not by much as long as you compound your equips well!!! :D Hehehe!

Have fun!

Ah, thanks for teh reply, Hush! :D

I'm not particularly mad about my damage, so I honestly wouldn't mind it if the damage I did with Meta was lower than the average HV I love you!'s as long as I have my defensive skills in order. :D

I was also looking into Impelling Rage, but there's a problem with WHERE within the build I should insert Imp Rage. D:

I was hoping someplace near Meta or Wild Nail since I'm not keen about continuing my Card skills. It's too much weight to carry those stupid things around. D;

Oh, on the topic of WT, should I sacrifice a WT accessory for an accessory which gives HV/HP?

Gah!!! I am also a 4114 raccoon hahha! >:3 but then again....MY WT FAILS!!! GRAWR!! T-T the only thing I have for adding weight is my graduation ring T_T but my WT is still pathetic lol... (which makes tombeth trials of holding those 500 weight stones soo difficult X-x) Um...but do you really need more HV/HP  for now? I currently need a million pots to supply my meager supply of MP pots (because my MP fails too >w>'') so I need that little extra weight :( which is kind of annoying because I also want to use an accessory to increase something else (stares at my LK >.>) heh heh...but it's up to you ^^ Do you have to carry loads of MP pots like I do? :O I doubt you'd have to carry HP pots hehehe :3

[Heres my Plan, Hope it helps...]

[3124 all HV]

[* = Learned]

Teacher

*Dodge Master LvM

*Sturdy Shield Lv10

Card Master

1) Card Strike LvM

2) Super Hips

3) Physical Training LvM

5) Mana Reflector Lv10

6) Shield All LvM

I thinking of switching the order of 3&4 with 5&6

~Waiting for complete 3 Job skills~

I'm sorry, went to have some dinner and a shower. x_x

@Hush ;;

Our WT is PHAIL. You know, I just carry around 200 Blue Bs and 100 Pink Bs with me, along with 400 Cards. I'm at 79% WT, though.
I should post my fail equips up soon. ;|

My C'oon's Current Accessories :

->Graduation Ring ( +12xx HP, +800 WT ),

->Ducky Keychain ( +1200 WT, minor additional stats)

If you're looking for more weight, however, I reccomend you the Opulent Pouch 40, which gives a WT of +1200 and a HP/MP & LK bonus, and is also LK Comp-able.

Economically-wise HP pots to bring:

Fried Eggs : 3000 HP, 31 WT  ( Compared to Herb Pots )
: Dropped by Egg Spectors ( Link to ggftw.com )

Spicy Egg
: 4500 HP, 10 WT ( RECCOMENDED )
: Drilled up @ Gate of Tap. as well as Tap. 1. ( Link to ggftw.com )

I HIGHLY RECCOMEND the Spicy Egg for you if you're doing Tombeth. The downside is that they aren't as common (drill-wsie) as the pots you can buy from Item Girl or whoever, so I would reccomend having a friend or two drill with you if they, as well as yourself, have the time. (:

@ Tony;;

I'm glad I'm not the only person grabbing Bodyguard. :D
If you don't have any Physical attacks now, you're going to have a hard time getting through Pop. Dungeon unless you've got a full Comp'ed GSet or have h4xZ-Compounded MyShop equips.  o_o;;

I highly reccomend you to Physicial Training before 2nd Job so that you have something to fall back on if Kooms *Critical* on you during the Pop. Dungeon quests.

If not before Card Master? I demand you get Phys. Training IMMEDIATYELY after Card Strike. You can't afford to rely on your HV all the time. Monsters will still be able to hit you.
Having said that, you should get Physical Training as soon as you hit Card Master. After that, grab Super Hips before grabbing Card Strike.
Mastering Physical Training is VITAL for your lower-leveled Card Masters. [/'nuff said]

Likewise with Mana Reflector.

After Acquiring Card Strike, jump straight into Mana Reflector so that you're ready for the Magic types during your Episode Quest through Mirage Island.
Don't think I'm overexaggerating. The Sea Sprites and Sea Hyenas have the potential to do 9xx~8xx damage to you if you're not insured with Mana Reflector.

M.Reflector is godsend; it cuts the damage down back to 4xx~3xx damage. You must always think the monster is going doing more to you.

Once you have Mastered ( yes, Mastered - notice how low your MD is? ) Mana Reflector, you are free to either save up points and await further advice, or jump straight into Body Guard.

Teacher

1. >Dodge Master LvM [ x2 Hula Octopus Cards ]

2. >Sturdy Shield Lv 10

OR

2. > Galder Throw Lv. M  [ x2 Golden G. Cards ]
Note: ( Are you sure you don't want Galder Throw now? You'll be rendered USELESS during the Ep.2 Quest where you must confront and defeat Don if you don't get Galder Throw.)

3. > Physical Training LvM [ x2 Mimic Cards ]

Card Master

1A. > Super Hips ( Assuming you didn't go for Galder Throw )

2A. > Card Strike (  "                                                                      "  )  [ x2 Ironclad Turtle Card]

( Swap 1A and 2A around if you took Galder Throw Lv.M )

3A. > Mana Reflector Lv.M [ x2 Nephthys Cards ]

4A. > Body Guard [ x2 Black Foe Card ]

OR

4A. > Sturdy Shield Lv. 10 ( Assuming you took my advice and went Galder Throw)

And that's all I can really advise you on, Tony. Sorry 'bout the pagestretch. x_X

Notes: Once I get up into the higher levels, I'll post up in this thread so that I can keep the thread up with my progress. x]

@ Bloodofwind

LOL! When I fight tombeth, all I bring is max 10 blue Pot C and no HP pots XD I don't have to worry because I don't get hit whatsoever :D heehhe! I just put on DM and I'm good to go XD only use 2 MP pots total during tombeth battle >w> I use more when doing trials ><'

About those fried eggs yea I really like using those...but I'm just too lazy to get them. >w> and I don't carry hp pots because I don't train. hahha! I don't need HP pots for where I train my tm >w>'' er Ravers o.o'' heh heh....

About the opulent pouch...I don't know how you get one D: and for the ducky keychain I made this character before they gave those out for free O-o'' =( but i really don't want to replace the ring with anything haha! because i already have another accessory that's really good O_o'' so yea..I'm kinda stuck ^^' hehehe!

Have a good day!
