First off, I'd like to thank those at Ntreev for the new boss system. As someone who won't buy a Sprint just to be able to get to a boss (Though I'll gladly spend money if I enjoy the game), the fairness aspect of this system is a major plus.

However, I do have one request regarding the way bosses work now: Please increase the drop rates of Unique equipment.

I've just got done this evening with my 200th Tombeth seal since the boss system was revamped. What I have to show for my 85-100 hours spent doing the trials and killing this boss is 1 Guardian Soul Shield, earned on my 199th seal. I was holding my Dragon back because of the level 150 cap, and spent the past two or so weeks diligently taking this boss on in hopes of a piece of equipment for another character. Unfortunately, my most common reward for my time was a Sun's Coat of Arms and a Compound waste. In terms of both experience and galder earnings I could have been much better off nearly anywhere else I would have chosen to spend my time. I've decided that 200 seals is enough, and I will have my Buffalo, whom the attempts at this boss were made for, attempt to earn the Guardian Soul Staff later so that I can progress in the game on my main character.

I understand that the equipment is supposed to be an accomplishment, and thus a bit rare. But... I am pretty sure that a half of a percent drop rate is a little low. Now, I know that some people will come in and say how they've had such better luck. I understand this, and the idea of probability and randomization factors. Heck, a friend/guildmate got a Helmet from Tombeth on his 20th seal. However, looking over both this forum and a fansite's forum, I'm seeing more first hand reports of people going 50, 70, over 100 seals with not a single Unique drop than those claiming 27 or so seals.

Again, I understand that the equipment is supposed to be rare, but I would kind of expect to be able to earn an entire set of equipment if I am putting in between 85 and 100 hours* of time repetitively defeating a boss. So please, consider a boost in the drop rate. I'm all for earning things, but I'd like to be able to realistically earn it, not throw the dice on a .5% chance.

*85-100 hours figure taken from the following math. 200 runs at 25 minutes each is 5,000 minutes, which translates to 83 1/3 hours. This is assuming a 20 minute cooldown, a flawless and lucky run through the trials of 5 minutes total, and pre-gathered trial items. When accounting for the gathering, competition in the trials prior to the boss itself, and other random factors, the time increases. For bosses with longer cooldowns, the minimum time jumps to 116 2/3 or even 150 minimum hours for 200 runs.

I am not reading all of this...acutally im not reading anything besides the title, but I would say +1 to increase drop rates,  I have almost 70 seals from that queen and not a single drop yet, this is seriously flawed

personally i think the whole boss trials thing is kinda flawed, true it filters out individuals but it ruins boss hunting for those who are just there for the fun of it (ie the old tut room) where we'd just go to drill out questies cause of the good drill rates, but it also discourages new people from even trying to get the uniques. Because by the time individuals get around to getting to the designated lvl to try and take on a boss there's around 4-5 people who know the trial like the back of their hands and just rip through it without letting other individuals give the trial a shot and it just ruins boss hunting in general.

A prime example *and many a trickster player can account to this*, while skull hunting i'd go thorugh and try to finish his trials only to get to his room to discover that someone else had already killed him, not only did this discourage me, but the aspect of having to go through the trial again to even see the boss let alone get my swing at him was beyond ridiclous. So i quit hunting skull just simply because his trials just take to long to get through otherwise. The same goes with tut, blood and now ordinea. Although the new boss format prevents camping in the boss room, it also *as previously mentioned* prevents new players from every trying to take on the boss because others can always beat them to it.

Thanks for listening,

I'm going to have to agree. I had 30 seals on Tombeth (which I know is probably not too much at all compared to your 200) before I gave up and just lvled towards 3rd job and passed 150. I'm dealing with Skull now and that's only because I have to keep my watcher shield. Otherwise I wouldn't even bother. The drop rate of these uniques is just bad in my opinion. Rariety is understandable, but to a certain point.

D: Thats why they are called uniqes. We need to keep the econemy up as much as we can. Increasing droop rates would make them less valubul = droping economy

+1.

Uniques or not, IMO the rates should not be that low. I don't think the drops should be THAT low, since some elements can only be obtained by uniques (aka water).

I just think the drops should be a LITTLE lower than the rates before these ones.

Just an opinion.

Which is exactly what happened.

Blood swords used to be 250m, then a drop "glitch" happened for a month+ where uniques dropped a LOT more often, price dropped to 80m/70m.  Now that they're rare again the price is going back up.

well i give -1 to u, coz i think neither i or some1 else who posts here cares about the price of the unique, i guess what u do a lot

i mean, people who got the 100x of bloood swords are now rich, and only coz the ntreev couldnt make like till lv200 blood or till lv 180 only

but there where lv 200-300 players who runed and are n the top place in seal hunting, they all got thous unique like 100x =/ so the price actuly should be realy low, but now its again high becouse of the stupid boss system (actuly havent even tried it, gave up on this game like... 2 month ago becous ntreev makes with every update it lassplayable)

+1 to the first post, even when u could run with others, i sealed blood ~50x in a row (i mean one day, not quiting the game) and didnt get even 1 unique

+ we where there like 3 players, who got the seals around that, and none of us got it >.<

and if u guys say its worst then that, no thq, i will surly not play this game again :)

++ ntreev, has no sens for geners :D thats the only funny thing in this game XD
