Chapter 14 - Part 2
Ari awoke to the light of dawn and to the sound of chirping birds. She yawned slightly and looked up at Shadow; who was snoring rhythmically and quietly. “Shadow, wake up.” Ari said mid-yawn. Shadow just kept snoring. “Come on, get up.” She said and tugged on Shadow’s sleeve. He opened one eye, looked around, and closed his eye again. “Hey!” Ari frowned. “I saw that.” She sighed. “Just give me five more minutes…” Shadow mumbled and squeezed Ari tightly. “Fine. It’s not like we’re doing anything today anyway.” She muttered and let out another yawn. More than five minutes passed, but Ari reluctantly let herself fall back asleep. “Ari, wake up. It’s already 11.” She heard Shadow say to her. “Don’t make me shake you or something.” She felt him poke her arm. “Ow. Okay, I’m awake. No need for shaking.” Ari said and looked over at Shadow. “Good.” He stood up and set Ari on her feet. “So, what should we do today?” he asked and looked around. “Well I didn’t get to look around much. How about we just go for a walk?” Ari suggested. “Alright, fine by me.” Shadow nodded and began to walk ahead. Ari quickly gathered her things and ran to catch up. “You run pretty slow.” Shadow teased. “Maybe you just walk fast.” Ari groaned. Now walking at the same pace as Shadow, Ari nervously grabbed his hand. Shadow snickered slightly. “You know, you don’t have to look so scared. It’s not like I’m gonna bite you for holding my hand.” He laughed but smiled at her. “Sorry.” Ari laughed along and squeezed his hand tighter. As the two began to start walking again, Ari heard footsteps approaching from a small distance, but didn’t think much of it. Out of curiosity, Ari turned around and looked. She then stood frozen in a revived anger. “You…” she growled. Shadow then turned around too. Yet again, the one who stood before them was Zero.
Chapter 15 - Part 1
“Yo.” Zero let out the casual greeting followed with a wave of his hand. Shadow stepped forward. “What do you want now? If you’re after Ari again, then you better prepare for a beating.” He locked his eyes on Zero’s and cracked his knuckles. Ari then noticed something strange about Zero, he looked tired and worn and had rips in his clothes. “Wait.” Ari said and stepped slowly in front of Shadow. “Zero, what happened to you? You probably deserved it, but you look pretty bad.” She tried not to sound terribly mean, but still had a mocking edge in her voice. “Ha…I guess I can just say…I got kicked out.” He chuckled. “How?” Shadow asked suspiciously. “How? I told off Mika, flipped a few tables, he got mad and fired a few rounds at me, which is why my clothes are ripped up, he grazed me a few times.” Zero shrugged. “It seems kind of odd that you just shrug that off.” Ari accused. “Well, it’s really not a problem for me, but actually, I came here for a reason you know.” Zero sighed. “And what reason would that be?” Shadow glared at Zero. “I need information from you Shadow.”

Chapter 15 - Part 2
"Information? What could you possible want to know from me?" Shadow was becoming increasingly suspicious. "You knew me, right?" Zero looked at the ground sadly. "Knew you? I Don't know what you're talking about." Shadow turned away. "Please don't try my patience. That one day...you called me Katsu. You knew me. So stop lying." Zero said sternly. "Fine then, I knew you. But I don't know you now." Shadow retorted and began to walk away. "Wait! Don't you see I want to remember who I am? Can't you at least tell me how you know me? Or what happened to me? Anything?" Zero pleaded. Shadow took another step and stopped. "You fell." he kept his back turned. "That's what happened, and that's all I'm going to tell you. Figure the rest out on your own." he finished and starting walking again. "Don't follow me, Ari. Stay around here, I'll be back later." he said and kept walking. "Well this is awkward." Zero said and stood silently.
Good news, I'll be able to get back to writing once I re-install Word. :D which will be this week.

Sorry for the lateness! D: My computer is still being a bit stupid. And I have another case of writer's block....well, more like I can't think of any good ways to fill a gap between this and the ending I have planned...>_> but that's a secret. Well, Here's what I have for now...xD
Chapter 16 – Part 1
Zero began pacing slowly in oddly straight lines. “What are you doing?” Ari tried to keep herself from glaring at him. “Waiting for Shadow to come back. I need more answers.” He crossed his arms but didn’t stop pacing. “It doesn’t seem like he’s going to tell you anything else. He seemed pretty angry.” Ari explained. She was kind of trying to get Zero to leave. “Ari, have you considered going home at all since you got here?” he stopped suddenly and stared at her with his usual cold eyes. “Of course not, besides meeting you, I love it here.” She scoffed. She hadn’t even thought about her old life once since she had been on Caballa Island. “Well I think you should leave while you still can.” Zero said flatly. “What are you talking about?” Ari stopped smiling and the conversation took a more serious tone. “I’m telling you this because I care. Something horrid is going to happen soon, I don’t want you to be a part of it. For the safety of your life, I suggest you leave as soon as possible.” He continued and jumped onto a large rock. “What’s going to happen?” her voice sounded a bit worried now. “Something huge…Mika is going to start his takeover of this place soon. I don’t know exactly when…but definitely soon.” Zero stated sadly and fixed his gaze to a spot on the ground. “I’ve already said too much,” he sighed. “Just please follow my advice.” He kept the miserable tone in his voice. Ari stayed silent and let the warning slowly run through her mind.

Ari sighed loudly and stared at Zero silently. “You’re just messing with me aren’t you?” she growled. “Do I look like I’m kidding?” He locked his eyes on hers with a serious expression on his face. “I guess not. But, I’m not leaving.” She crossed her arms and sat on the ground. “Fine. Throw your life away. It’s not my problem.” He snapped. “I would figure it was your problem lover-boy, seeing how you like me or whatever.” She mocked and made a fake gagging noise. Zero jumped in front of Ari and put his face less than a few inches in front of hers. “You know, I think you forget who you’re dealing with when you say those things.” He added a playful tone to his voice and placed his hand under her chin. Ari blinked and then sharply pulled away. “You’re such a sick person.” Ari hissed. “You know you love it.” He smirked and laughed slightly. “In your dreams.” She mumbled. “And since when did you get all cheerful? Weren’t you all bummed out a second ago?” Ari stood back up slowly and brushed off her skirt. “What can I say? You make me happy.” Zero said sarcastically and did an over-dramatic pose. Ari sighed loudly and glared at Zero. “I hope Shadow comes back soon…I am so sick of you.” She groaned. Zero snickered and swayed his tail. “Well at least we can agree on that.” He smiled and turned away.
