Clean install of Windows XP Pro w/ SP3 and most optional updates.
Running antivirus only (avg 8 free), no firewall.
I get to select channel and click the connect button and receive this error message.
I'm using the latest download pack and have reinstalled a few times.

nothing i've read has worked so far. i have it working correctly on 2 other machines,
so i'm copying the trickster online folder from one of them over to my main machine where i am having the problem.
i'll report if it works or not.
OK that worked.
I copied the trickster online folder from a machine that trickster was working correctly on,
pasted it to the machine i was getting the error message from and now it's working ok.
It's only a work around but if you can do it, it worked for me.
update- was working fine and then an exception error, the game shutdown after clicking ok, and now starts with trickster.bin error.
tried manually deleting the 2 trickster.bin files and then start-check files to load new ones from the server (failed) same error.
starting to look more like an error in the files from the server. The game also shutdown on a computer i haven't had any problems with,
with the same exception. But it started back up again with no problem.
