Dear mom,

Instead of showing you, my real appreciation in the real life, I actually wasted few of my precious braincells to make an overly sugary coated letter filled with love and lotsa love - figuratively, literally and hypocritically - for the sake of winning some pixelated stuff in this cool MMORPG that you told me to stop playing.

Furthermore to show that I really love you, I decide to wrote this letter even after the actual contest has ended and Mother's day has over, I am an awesome and lovable child, am I not?

I actually wrote in the card i got my mom what I said here...though in much, much fewer words... Ok I wrote one sentence, but the gist of it was the same.
