And so what if Arthur was a king? People dont' talk about him as much as they talk about Merlin. Arthur got a couple games with Capcom and a Disney movie. But Lancelot stole his girl and his son killed him. Nobody killed Merlin - nobody could. Merlin also had a role in that same Disney movie. And he had video games too. Merlin's name is used on occassion to refer to someone with remarkable abilities. More people use Merlin as a character name in RPG video games than Arthur. Merlin appeared on the History Channel in reference to doomsday prophecies. When you mention "kings," people rarely think of Arthur, who by the way, failed to find the Holy Grail -- it was a knight that found the Grail. When you mention "wizard," people typically think of Merlin or the stereotype attributed to Merlin. Merlin sticks in people's heads as a historical or literary great. Arthur was a tool that won people's admiration but couldn't handle the rigors of life!
