I don't exactly see how it's ridiculous... IMHO, what's ridiculous is having Vista in the first place, but eh..
I've seen SO many games having this same issue before, and I can't really think of any that actually came up with a solution because people just whined nonstop on their forums/support emails... we just have to wait, its up to them to actually fix it or not, but they don't necessarily have to oblige.

As a gaming company, making sure your game is operating on all systems should be your first priority. Any healthy gaming company does this. In this recession, you cannot afford to be this careless with your programming. It might take a few weeks, but you need to get it up to speed. I can't play, and quite frankly, I think you should be refunding people their money that can't get on if they money for myshop.

I have Vista, but I probably have no sound aswell, I wouldn't know because I don't have speakers for my laptop and it doesn't have built in ones, so... awell.. I play and occasionally get disconnected. My client usually bugs up, but then I have to restart. No big deal, though. (It works, and that's what I care about) Plus my security doesn't like trickster that much. It always askes my permission to run it, but no complaints there.
i also get the "exceptional error" message =( and i also have no sound sometimes, its so annoying! please fix soon!
No sound huh.....thats all!?!? i havnt been able to play this game like around...........maybe in dec?? or after the 3rd job time frame...i have the same type of PC as most if not all the vista users..everytime i login all i get is just a white window o.o i left it like that over night just to see......so yeah do i really have to type what i seen i mean really... i'm happy my acc was not deleted(has CS on the acc) but the long wait for this to be fixed is a killer Mana Knight Verenia

I have this issue as well..Everything from loading it to ingame is perfect but I just have no sound. ANd I use Vista..I even had my wmp playing but i couldn't even hear my music.
