Can't log in. Abnormal Connection freeze issue, for character screen only?

Alright. I've been reading the recent posts to find that I have similar problems. =[

I was playing the game for a few hours, and eventually I decided to go to Megalo to check out all the new stuff I missed out on, as I've just gotten back from a 4-month leave, to find myself disconnected after the screen freezing and returning to the log-in screen. After a couple hours, I gave up trying to log back in, with a whopping 12 tries, all disconnected after the character screen freezes.

And I said to myself, "This is the abnormal connection issue that we're dealing with... D:"

I understand that where I was disconnected is a lagfest... But how can I get my character 'moved' somehow, out of that place? Should I just wait until it's really late? There ARE different timezones after all, so I'm sure Mega. will be just as crowded.

I can't describe what problem i'm having, I'll let the picture do the talking:

because of this problem, I have to turn off map effect and special effect =O (where's the joy then >.<)

i've submitted a 1:1 but it's not helping... (i mean I did what was told and nothing works)

it was fine until recent patch, what should I do T^T

I can't Log In

Can aanyone help me... Everytime i try to log in it tells me that the server is under maintnence when it is not (i checked). I also tried uninstaling it and reinstalling but the smae thing happens.... whats wrong?!

Windows 7 compatability with Trickster Online

So I just upgraded to Windows 7 yesterday and downloaded Trickster this morning while I left for my morning class. Came back from school and installed Trickster, at first it installed and patched without any problems. Once I started the game, gamegaurd wouldn't launch and update but I tried opening Trickster anyways. It worked until I went onto the character login then it closed. Started to google for tips on how to fix the problem, found out that if you downloaded some other game that also uses gameguard and replacing that with the Trickster's gamegaurd would make it work. So I tried that out but got BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death). Then after reading into it more I also found out that it only works for the 64 bit version of Windows 7 and not the 32 bit. Anyone else have this problem? I would also like Ntreev to do something to resolve the problem. Heck they should have started thinking about that when Windows 7 was released -o-''and also if anyone fixed the problem mind sharing to everyone else who has Windows 7 32 bit and can't get Trickster to work?

Windows Vista Compatibility Thread

Hello everyone!

Since the original thread by kagei our moderator has been posted, there has been some progress being made on getting the Vista compatibility added. We were able to setup some testing configuration in-house and would like to share our findings.

Currently, as it stands, Trickster Online Revolution does not officially support Windows Vista as seen on the download page. However, that doesn't mean we are not working on it but supporting an entirely new generation of OS can have it's challenges. That being said, I would like to share our test results and collect some helpful information from the players to further accelerate Vista support for Trickster Online.

Trickster Online currently works with Windows Vista 64-Bit editions. Some of our really outdated clients may receive error message when trying to install. If this is the case, go to the download section and download the latest build OR change the installation destination folder to 'X:\Trickster Online'(X being the drive you want to install to) or any other folder name you wish to desire.

Here is the Windows Vista 64-Bit configuration tested.
- HP dv6933cl Laptop w/ Windows Vista Home Premieum 64-Bit
- All the latest drivers updated both through Windows Update & HP's own updater
- All the latest Windows Updates installed including latest DirectX
- Trickster Online is installed to C:\Trickster Online

Installation, patching, playing with full sound and graphical effects have no problem so far. The test setup had following Windows configuration.

- UAC was turned off
- Windows Firewall was turned off
- No extra spyware or anti-virus software was installed. However, Windows Defender(comes with Vista) was running in the background
- Windows account was an administrator account.

Sound problem with 32-Bit has been a known compatiblity issue and has been confirmed by in-house testing as well. There is no definite answer as to when 32-Bit Vista will be compatible but this is verified test case and we are continuing to work with various teams to add 32-Bit compatibility.

If you have purchased a retail copy of Vista, then you can obtain 64-Bit disc of Vista for a small shipping fee. There is an insert included with the packaging on how or where to go to obtain 64-Bit disc. However, you should carefully evaluate and consider before upgrading to 64-Bit Vista as it may end up causing more compatiblity issues for other programs installed on your computer. If you have an OEM version, you may want to look for an instruction which may have been included with your computer purchase or contact the computer manufacturer for more information on obtaining 64-Bit disc should you decide to do so. Or some of you may already have 64-Bit pre-installed if your computer has more than 4GB of ram.

If you have a smooth Trickster playing experience with Vista 64-Bit, I'd love to hear what your computer spec & configuration are. If you have Vista 64-Bit but Trickster Online is somehow not working with similar configuration as above, please feel free to post any or all the information you can provide. For 32-Bit users, we are still working on it. Please be patient.

Now if anything I've posted above are something you are not familiar with, I strongly advise not to attempt it yourself and consult a computer professional.

This is for those who have problems with patching their Clients..

Sometimes, when Trickster gets updated after some maintenance, some people has problem with Trickster not patching in the launcher, and prevents them from playing due to version difference, or Exceptional Error, if not weird stuff. I have found a workaround to allow Trickster Launcher to patch Trickster.

To make the Launcher detect the new version of Trickster and patch
1. Close Trickster Launcher if already open (optional)

2. go to http://ntreevpatch.nefficient.com/ntreev/version/version using Internet Explorer (this doesn't work with firefox). It should lead to a page with some version information. It looks like this:

version = 2.17.1
notice = http://www.tricksteronline.com/game/launcher.aspx
filelist = filelist.200708280115
patch = http://ntreevpatch.nefficient.com/ntreev/Patch

3. when there, refresh by pressing CTRL-F5. You should notice that the "version" field change

4. Open Trickster Launcher (or press file check if open) and it will detect the new version and patch.

You should be able to play the updated version of Trickster now.

I found this workaround when I asked myself "Why a lot of people can't play immediately after the maintenances?", and started to look, and I found that this is the problem.

If it doesn't work for any of you, let me know about it, I will try to find a deeper solution if possible.

Server and Version does not match ?

zz idk wad time is it but its 23/10/09 here.... i think the maint should be over long ago , i don get the patch still at 2.26.10 ?? and i checked file for over ten times redownload reinstall everything it just wont work ! anyone have the same prob ? I can't log in to my account whenever it's start popping out this!!

Invalid Data (ERR-0021)

i got this error like a few days ago. should be around wednesday. (in singapore times)
First, i got DC-ed (don't know why, maybe because too lag or something).

And then, i tried to log back in to my char. when i clicked on my char it said: Selecting Character, Connecting to Server, *BOOM* Invalid Date (ERR-0021). i tried to log back in again and again. but it didn't work. i asked my friends for help, i open the splash, checked files. but it didn't help Dx and i know maybe my sheep has 300+++ items with her, and that's why it got this error? Dx but hey, 300+ items sound funny. i mean, the reason of why getting an error because of 300+ items sounds funny. Dx but still yeah >.> can anyone tell me or help me T-T (i can log in to my other account but not MY MAIN Dx)

and i reported it to the GMs, it has been three days (including today). i didn't get a reply. Dx meh, i really wanted to go back to the games. *hiss* can i get some help from you guys? just in case the GMs, doesn't reply me for months or weeks or years Dx

Logging in problems

My dad got a new windows vista computer. I downloaded trickster and had been playing it for about a month with no problems at all. My dad sent the computer to a company to reformat the computer. When the computer came back I tried to download trickster again. I downloaded trickster with no problems. When I tried to log on, it stayed on the login page saying "logging in..." I tried reinstalling, rebooting my internet and computer, and now, I'm trying to instal it from a different website. The computer is exacly the same as it was before. I asked my friend if he knows and he said its because of the event where you stay on all day and all night to recieve items.

After I select my character my game freezes. It does not tell me there is an error or anything, it just gets stuck. I do not know what is wrong, I re-installed the game twice already. Before I used to have no problems with trickster but after taking a long break it will not work no more.

Any suggestions?

ok, i use to log in 100% like other ppl, but now i cant

as i read the tech. forums i started to c more ppl is having the same problem as i am, after u log in the trickster start page comes ok, woo stage 1 accomplish, i type in my name and pass, stage 2 is a go, then i choose my server jeweial then ruby, stage 3 cleared, i click on meh smexy dragon and started the game, stage 4 completed, now stage 5 when it says logging in, it says logging in for like 5 mins than i hear like a door bell sound like u get when u get a error pop-up thing but there isnt, then i hear the sound when u log into the game, and then the sound when u go into a portal, but it still say logging into the game, stage 5 is a fail, the COMBO BREAKER of the bunch, is there any way to prevent this?

i was able to log in once today, for bout a hour and a half but was dc while i tried to do my guardian quest

ps: sorry for posting this, this is probably consider spam cause there is like a million on them in tech support

Recently, when I try to card battle, in seconds after the other guy accepts, my computer screen turns black and when it clears and goes to my desktop, it says "Exceptional Error". Any reason for this?

Alright, so I had just downloaded this, and was very excited about. I installed it, and everything was fine. I ran the installer, patched the game up, I believe. And I went to run it, and as soon as GameGuard or whatever it's called, finishes loading, my machine just reboots. I tried it a few times, and It's starting to make me mad. I have no idea what the problem is, or what to do.

I've got Comodo Firewall, if that's an issue with it.

Other than that, I've got no idea. Any help would be appreciated, I really want to start playing this game.

Windows Vista Issues

With many PCs now shipping with Vista we are looking at improving performance. Below are a list of the known issues with Vista:

-As of the latest patch Trickster functions normal with Vista except there is no sound when playing the game. This is a known issue and we are progressing towards full Vista support. Currently Trickster Online only supports Windows 98, Windows 2000, and Windows XP.

If you have run into any other issues specifically with Vista please respond with a detailed description of the issue, and a copy of your DxDiag.

-Press the Windows key and R.
-Type DxDiag and press Enter.
-Click on the Save All Information Button (Save the file to your Desktop).

Once done open the file on your Desktop, and copy and paste the contents into your post.

character selection area freezes?

Recently, ever since the start of the third anniversary event, I have been unable to log into the game. My game just freezes at the character selection screen and a bell sound goes off, followed by an error sound. However, after that, I wait around ten minutes but nothing occurs. Either that or after the bell sound, I hear some of the game's sounds but I am still at the character selection screen. A couple minutes later, I am taken back to the log in screen where I must type in my username and password. Basically, my computer freezes at the log in, hindering me from playing. My character is in Megapolis, may that be an issue? I used to be able to log in, although at the character selection screen, it does take some time. Now, I am unable to even log into the game. Any help here? Thanks!

Plz help me solve this problem

when i try to log in, after selecting what world i belong (jewellia) "Exceptional Error" just pop out.. i tried some thing like re-DL and reinstalling the game but still after i patched it that error occur.. i also try intsall the TricksterManual.zip still same error.

What should i do to solve this problem... Hopefuly someone will help me solve this prob i really want to get back in the game.. miss my char so much.. >< xP.....

Going to your myaccount page

The only way I know how to go to the myaccount page is on the left hand side of the trix main page, but that bar does not show up on my phone, only the computer. Is there anyway to get to that page on a phone? Basically I may want to log into trickster on my computer while on my college campus wireless internet but I do not trust it so I would want to change my password from my phone off of their network in private when I am done.

I've been trying to play trickster since yesterday when the anni. event started but I can't log into my fox. =( Yes it is in mega and I know that can cause some problems. =/ It logged me in ONCE yesterday but then it said i was disconnected and now every time I select my character it either dings and then i get a warning sound or the warning sound and then the ding-dong. I've restarted my computer like 3 times. Its really annoying. Should I try uninstalling and then reinstalling it or should I file a error report?

clicker pen wont work

I have a pc fujitsu tablet and i downloaded tricksters and everything was fine. But when the title screen came up my tablet pen (which works as the mouse) didnt work. The arrow wouldnt move. I tried a using a usb mouse but the arrow still didnt move. What do i do?

Problem After Update? Surprise! Surprise!

Is it just me or every single time the server has a major update, the client goes wrong?

share your stories, because this is awfully frustating and gives ME the urge of break the computer into smithereens.

My problems so far after rejoining TO:

Exceptional Error
Unable to see new "Myshop" items
Error during update
Other errors such as files corrupting after download e.t.c.

Now that I've list it, I'm surprised my computer is not smashed yet. I reckon the update patch shouldn't be downloaded in bits and pieces, because to me, thats like trying pass 100 eggs 1 by 1 instead of in a box.

Please Discuss and share your opinion and others!! (So i feel better)

Can't Get On Anymore

Alright, I've been playing Trickster before, and last time I got on was yesterday. I was playing just fine till I noticed I had 5000 P. So I used it to buy a lv. 15 Pet that cost 4500 P. My character was Lv. 12 at the time. As soon as I bought it, I got the items from my mail and exited My Shop. I then tried to open one of the gifts, but it wouldn't open. I tried to leave town, I no longer could. No matter how many times I've clicked on the portal and the item, I couldn't open or go through the areas. So I decided to log off and try again. Now my game COMPLETELY freezes as soon as I hit Okay on the character selection screen. I've tried again today, same problem. I can't get on anymore ever since I've bought that pet. So, can you guys help me and tell me what I should do to get back to playing this game? This is extremely aggravating.
