Do you need to possess all 16 secret map cards in order to get the treasure map? or u can trade the cards around and so long as u get the "image" of the 16 map parts and u can continue to get ur guardian

You -must- have at least one of every card with you. If you get rid of a card you lose that part of the map as if you never got the card in the first place. However, since you're able to get extras you can trade those safely, just make sure you have at least one of each in the end.
If it was as easy as swapping around cards then many people would have Guardians by now.
