Okay, i've done with my 1st chara, which is a pure AP cat (still working on leveling to change her to 2nd job) but since the server is under maintenance, I'm just bored and check out the forums and read about the other types just in case if I want to make alternative characters.
I've come to this decisions(including reasons why I'm interested on them).
1. An special-for-digging-and-money-making-character. Fox or Lion?
I've seen many people have sense type as one of their alternative character, for digging and money purposes.. I think this is quite necessary because with my cat, I had difficulties on completing the digging quest...
I've also read that sense type is hard to level, so I just want to ask the pros and the other trickster players which one is better to play Fox or Lion? In terms of the jobs, skills, and strengths. ( personally I like lion's look..)
2. Magic Type
Either Light/Lightning/Fire Wizard - I'm interested with the healing properties, but to have some destructive spell of combination fire& lightning sounds good for me. I'm guessing this character will have a very good survival chance in PvP.
OR DarkLord - His massive destructive spells are just tempting.
So I would like to hear people's opinion to help me make my decision for my alternative characters...

I say go with fox if you want drilling / money makeing propertys since fox's are the best driller in the game and great for comping equipment
and as far as mages go i would just go with preist since Sheild of heaven makes them hard to kill and thay very powerful aoes
Go Fox , Cause they are good at "drilling,compounding, and maturing compounding"..They arent hard if u go pure DA fox, unlike making a gunner fox which is hard to level unless you have attri weapon for melee..
If you make a Hybrid Lion you have the -exact- same digging abilities as a Fox does without having to even put points into DA. As for compounding, it has been tested for years now and so far nobody knows if LK -truly- even changes results for it. People have tried low LK and have gotten good results, but bad as well. Players have tried high LK with good results, but as well. Same thing for ''Average'' LK.
So as far as Fox being better compounders, that is a total myth. Every character is just as good or bad at compounding as any other.

I got confused now, so all those stats, LK and DA has nothing to do with chance of success compounding or drilling??
How about their skills and survival chance for those two? And why people tend to use gunner lion and assassin fox?

DA works for -basic- compounds and refining. Examples: Compounder Paul and Marx (When refining -gems- in mines, not equipment)
People tend to make Lions Gunner and Fox as Shuriken users because that's what they're -technically- meant to use. A Lion's 2nd and 3rd Job are all about Guns while a Fox's 2nd and 3rd are all about Shuriken.

I've always said that not even a thanks is necessary. Simply knowing I helped is good enough, or at least that I've tried my best to.
