Preferably 150 pixels in height and 500 pixels in width.
Big signatures are becoming a hindrance -- being excessively bigger than the message itself. It's hard to read messages in pages of a thread that's flooded with gigantic signatures.
It also slows down page loading time of users with dial-up internet connection.

I like my signature, and it would look very stupid if I would re-size it to really small.
Of course if it would be like 10 signatures on top of each others, that would be too big.

Pixel size is hardly the main issue for slowing down tho. ;p
I could make a 500x150 bmp that would slug down, if Im really incompitent, or make a long gif thats like 100x250 but contains alot of frames.
So personally I dont care too much about a sig dimension size limit, as long as they dont become too big and starts to consume the size of a monitor(800x600). Then I start to wrinkle my nose.
Why do people stil even use dial up anyway? I myself can get a 0.250mbit connection for less than 7 bucks a month these days?
I prefer a banner-sized signature, max height around 130 and width around 650 pixels.

+1 Adding a certain limit wouldn't be bad. Besides it's not like I have slow connection so the loading doesn't amtters however... sometimes the sheer size somehow distrupts the thread >_>. It's not kewl if I have to scroll down 3 times as much to reach the bottom just because somebody has huge signature.
I'd say that 250 Height and 650 width is quite enough for most things.
