It does varies.You can view it by clicking on each individual in myshop.Or you can look it up @ ggftw wiki :)

If they're not inside boxes, just right click them and it'll show the compound slot amount and what you can compound in those slots.
And like iPaws said, GGFtw wiki will tell you what can be comped onto box gear. :D
