Would a 1144 pure AC MyShop-funded Fox fail? If so, how could I improve it o.o

Well if 1144 Gunner -Lions- don't fail, Foxes won't either. You have to realize however that you won't have -any- Gun Skills until 3rd Job, so you're going to have to rely on swords/daggers and shields until then. Attribute items would help greatly.
That's how I see it personally.

Gun booster -does- help but not that much. I doubt you would want to use normal gun shots during your 3rd Job Trials also.
