ok i get it, so you got the same thing as me
the problem is that gameguard uses .dll hook to make sure that you aren't using cheat or hex editing <.< but since 7 use a new kernel pattern to make it more effective it stops unwanted program to use those .dll hook. in xp mode you would be able to use it because with the visualization technology they are bringing back the old kernel. since only the new version of gameguard support windows 7 kernel the other versions won't let you start gameguard since it may for some people cause bsod. and the only reason ntreev isn't updating is because they don't support any OS after xp... my suggestion ntreev should upgrade them self and not stay 8 years ago >.>
^^ my first ever siggy
But the thing is that, gameguard is too outdated already.I need a better gameprotect to test my hex editing skills on.You can pretty much inject files, to freeze gameguard.(which is too common already.)
in progess (:
*sighs* I really wish they updated theit gameguard as well... even putting Vista aside I had to switch some of my newer programs on XP to alternatives or had to say bye bye to the m completely because the old pieco of junk (gameguard) was conflicting with them >_>
i'm gonna start a petition so that ntreev update gameguard or get a new program

Petitions are usually just peoples ways to try their opinion via force, which your opening statement also implies. Petitions can also be easily manipulated with people who like making multiples. Generally the topic itself about gameguard, is good enough. And there have been alot of that too overtime. I myself wouldn't mind if people made some more solid arguments about this entire thing too(which I expressed in the past too but just got ignored).
Granted, Gameguard has always worked for me(except when my CPU goes nuttymcnuts and it start to think Im speedhacking, so I have to reboot), so maybe I myself dont really have much to say. *shrug* But really, in the end line, I just see "update GG or get a new app". So lets say, cool, we want them to change that. Empty words don't do squat there.
If you want them to update GG, maybe some reasons why? What would make a newer version of GG better than our old? Is it ensured to fix issues? The issues there are, are those ensured to be fixed with a new version? How many users have the issue with GG? Would the new version of GG be vurnable compared to the older one in some cases? If a GG update costs(I'd assume it does), is it a worthy investment?
Yeah, those are big questions. But its stuff like that thats important to know too, if you really want to make some change. And just same applies with suggesting a new piece of protection software. What says that software don't have issues as well?
To me, it seems that GG issues don't seem like that big(hence why nothing have happened maybe?) issues to go enough under the radar for a "fix" as it just affect a minority of the playerbase.

We may seem like a minority but as time goes on, more people will advance to Windows 7 or other OS's. Im sure it will at least help some people, if not most. But besides just us, you have to think about people that have problems because of GG that have never played trickster and were looking for a new game to play. Example, if I am looking for a new game and have any problems like this at all, I'm not going to waste my time going on the forums saying I need them to change or update something, na I'm just going to simply pass that game up and look for another game. Not to mention stuff like simply not updating or listening to it's users would equal a bad experience and something that I don't want to get into, all the more reason I would pass this game up without asking questions if I have never played before.
but the rest of what you said is some good points, but NTREEV simply needs to find a fix for the problem with W7, if it is not GG then find what it is. 1: they can do that themselves, 2:they have info from users or wanna be users about the problems to guide them in the right direction. The only way I could understand a game not updating its security is if it is an old game, free to play, no myshop, no events, patches or anything anymore cause it is so old and they wouldn't make any money off of it, but this game is still kicking with events and myshop.
The damage will be very impactful.Minority adds up.You'll end up losing customers/players too.A good feedback from players might be useful to motivate/push for the GG update & change.I would say that the new HackShield, is pretty good.1. It autologs off keyloggers.2. Client won't run if they detect 3rd party application.3. Prevent server-side editing.4. Not-so-compatible with client-side editing(Good to prevent hackers.)5. Prevents hex editing compatibility with client side files.
on top of that some returning users that have updated to W7 without knowing about the problem could just leave and yes the community would feel it as well as ntreev wallet since that person may have or would spend money on this awesome game. i know what i'm talking about cause that's exactly what happened to me and i'm a bit pissed since i did spend money and they aren't helping to fix the problem. at least grand chase still work (somehow) and if after next patch it's still not fix i guess i'll quit trickster until it's resolve.

Underlined caught my eye. Is it just Trickster's version of GG that have issue with Windows 7, is the issue occuring to all Windows 7 users, and is this issue not appearant on later versions of GG?
Edit: Was in a rush, so I couldnt quote second post before going away.

Unsure if it was ever fixed, I stopped caring after a year. Did minority impact Grand Chase? Don't really seem so. When the game came out, there was an error a few users had. Appearently this was due to us running x64 Windows XP(or was it x64 versions in general? I forgot.), which we got to hear some more time later. Then we had to wait. And some time after, we got slapped in the face the game was not supported for the OS; and thats that. I checked back about a year later to see if it had changed, and nope. Hey,iInfact, Im going to download it again now, and see if it have been changed after all this time. If not, well. Then it'll remain that I can't enjoy Grand Chase and very likely never will. =P
So yeah, some minorities will completely be run over, and as minority, they wont be capable of much impact. However, if everyone that use 7 can't play the game, they have to make a change, as everyone will go 7 eventually, as XP is running on life support as it is anyway.
But you, me and many others know, that all GG issues reported hardly are only by 7 users. Those others who run an XP box or Vista box and have GG issues likely will be run over, as they are a minority with so many more XP/Vista users having it work seamlessly(correct term?).
Thats how I see it anyway.
Edit 2: Yep. Grand Chase stil doesn't work for me. :D
