We know Crediting. It helps us find the creators of all kinds of graphics and the likes! Here's a mainly simple guide.
What TO do when you're crediting:Example 1: The Straightforward Credit: Credit to _______ for my >Whatever it is your crediting<Example 2: Thanks so much to _______ for the >"<
What NOT to do:Example 1: " " Please do NOT leave the credits BLANK. ;~;Example 2: "I made this." <- I've never seen this, but still. Do not do unless its true.
The point of credits are to express gratitude! I understand that sometimes you don't know where things come from and that's alright. Be as descriptive as you can with credits. The best you can get is a name.
Now what do I mean? Credits are like copyrights.
Let's say you find something super cool on Photobucket, and put it in your signature. The great thing about Photobucket is that, well, you can see who made it. So you would put "Image credit to >Whoever made it< from Photobucket."
Now, what if it's on Google Images? Same idea. You can't get a name? Click the image, find the website it was from, and place "Image credit to > Name of Website<"
What happens if you don't credit? D:
...People will think you stole the image, and call you an art thief, especially if it is from another forum.
...You look like an idiot when asked where you got it?
That's two of the things.
Now...
You know how to credit. Go be the best creditor person you can be! >o< (And spread the word...)
I cheer for this thread~! Copyright is important.
