Trickster is a 2D game. There are plenty of 2D games out there. I happen to like the fact that Trickster is 2D. If you want a 3D game, go find and play a 3D game.
It would be insane amounts of work to convert Trickster to 3D. It would take a huge budget to pull off as well, as the Ntreev parent company and all subsidiary companies associated with it, such as Ntreev USA, would have to purchase the equipment and software to handle a 3D conversion. Plus the server would have to have a COMPLETE overhaul. As laggy as the game already is at moments, there's no way the current server could handle 3D graphics.
Every so often I shout, "I know what's going on!" just in case.
Nimerb:and if u think the money is the problem to get the software then your wrong..they make atleat 1000$ a day so payment is no problem for the ntreev
Since Ntreev USA is in California, and I have a general idea of what the cost of living is like over there, the GMs are probably making around $800 a week. There's 10 GMs on the Ntreev USA employee list, which means Ntreev is shelling out around $8000 a week for the GMs--and that's just the GMs, not the Quality Control team or the IT team or the security. Quality Control probably makes around the same salary, and I have no idea how many people there are in that department. IT and security probably make a higher salary.
Then there's the cost to the company for renting office space, which I have no real idea of how much it would be because it depends on the kind of office, where the office is, what floor it's on and what kind of furnishing it has. But if the office space pricing is anything like housing, it's probably several thousand dollars a month.
Then you factor in the cost of their website and forum. That's probably a couple hundred dollars a month of upkeep, at least, probably more, especially since the website is mostly Flash. As a graphic design student, I know how much work goes in to a site like that. We haven't talked about rates yet in my class, but I can give a ballpark estimate (on the low end) of probably around $3000 for the initial website design, and a few hundred dollars at least for every change they make.
Oh, and then there's the cost of upkeeping the server. I really have no way to estimate that, as I would have to know how many people access the server on average, how much bandwidth is used, what ISP Ntreev has and how their business plan is set up. None of which I have any clue of, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's in the vicinity of $5,000 a month or more. And speaking of their ISP, they would have to pay however-much-a-month for internet/phone.
Now I'll give you that I'm making estimates here. But they're educated guesses based on what I know of cost of living in California and generalized costs of running things.
So how about instead of taking an attitude with me you do some research so you can actually know what you're talking about. I wasn't being a smart alec (learn2not cuss, kthx.) I was merely presenting you with a logical reason why your idea isn't feasible. You were the one being a smart alec and trying to cuss--betcha didn't know about the filter, huh? Everyone's entitled to their opinion, and you're gonna learn pretty fast that when you say something on the internet, people with opinions differing from yours can and will post about it and debate/argue with you.
