MyTrickster, Dead?

MT's wiki may still be there, but no one can update it.  The MyMMO Wiki has active contributors helping to keep content up to date.  Most days, the change log for our wiki is somewhere in the 400-500 edits range.  If anyone thinks MyMMO is "dead", the last 30 days brought us over 1.5 million page views, and it increases by about 15-20% every week.  I'd hardly say that's dead.

Regarding the "hatred of the official forums", I've taken steps to mitigate that:

If you see a mmog member coming on the official forums and trolling or starting "community wars", please feel free to contact me and I'll ensure this rule is enforced.  We wish to augment the Trickster community, not disrupt it.  If you do contact me, I only really check PM here about once a week because I'm running an event that I've advertised to this community.  For immediate response, it's faster to catch me on mmog or AIM (NoeJeko).

I've done my part in trying to keep the MyMMO community from coming here and trolling.  I ask that all those that are still flaming us do your part and chill.  We aren't going to bash you, but we request the same courtesy in return.

And I appreciate that Noe, I really do. But every time I go onto your forums I feel like I'm stepping into a mire of Ntreev hate and flames about "The fail forums."The problem isn't with your members coming here and flaming, it's with them bashing the official forum whilst on your forum.

 

I'm not going to waste your bandwidth by searching out examples, but the old MT community just has a pissy attitude about the game and it's really quite tireseome. There's nothing you can do about it really; but it certainly keeps me out.

well that goes into another argument about whether people have the right to complain or not

it's mostly people who have been playing trickster for a long time

you may have realized that many people have the attitude of "beta was better"

the old players watched trickster get worse and worse over time

new players only know how it is right now, so they are less likely to complain

it's not like people complain without reason

as for bashing the official forums, there's reasons for that too

there's conflicting views, etc. although both sides have some valid points to make

Even if someone doesn't like the community - the fact remains that our wiki is alive and well with active contributions while MT's is not.

MyTrickster... is back alive. And wow... already comes in many flamers and all that bad stuff. Those people are just awful.

Too bad for MT. Sigh...

Anyway.... at least there is this new wiki. At first, Saety is having a hard time understanding the new one and well... it turn out good. Hopefully they fix up the other links soon. Saety couldn't view the other quest. @_@;;

We're constantly trying to make our wiki better; if you have suggestions please feel free to post in our wiki forum.

Yes, the new site owner for MT threatened to sue me for "destroying his site" and also claimed he owned all the guides that were written and all the wiki content.  Chesters said "lol he can sue me for stealing my own boxes".  I don't think the guy realizes a large number of the MT "wiki owners" are the very ones he's threatening - and you can't steal your own content zzz.

yea there was a recent flood of spam at mt.

the new owner decided to try and claim rights over the wiki and all the user submitted guides and refuses to listen to reason, instead just does roll backs and throws around threats of sueing people

so some of the old mt members are understandable upset.

 

 

Thats not the only issue. Some of you people still fail to understand why a lot of us are upset. Not only did the new owner rollback a couple months to retrieve the guides and stuff that many of us tried to remove, hes also removed powers from all remaining mods, so that no one can touch the guides anymore beyond the original posters (Actually, his explanation for the roll back was; 'only rolled it back because tons of content was removed, i've changed permissions so that doesn't happen again.'), and has already banned many people for various different reasons. Most of the remaining mods with power were banned, people have been of course banned for speaking of MOG, heck, I think LeonSchroeder told me she got banned for asking for her $6 back that she donated to the site. In fact, the only posts she really made since the forums been back up have been about that and she is indeed banned ._.

 

Oh, and you'll get a kick out of this.

 All these nasty sue threats? Yea, well, he also filtered out the word 'sue' on MT. I found that fairly humorous, given the current situation.

@Gurpuk, lmao you dont know a thing. So stop acting as if you do. You're only seeing one side of it, not both. And 'creeps/trolls obsessed with the forums?' Please. Get your gd facts straight.
