Ok, this works for me, so I hope it will work for you.
Open up internet explorer and go to Tools -> Internet Options
Open the Connections tab and go down to the LAN Settings
Check the box and enter the same information as in the picture (if for some reason you cannot see the picture, the address is 71.144.47.155 Port: 3128)Make sure you press OK in all the windows before trying to open Trickster.
Once you are at the screen where you log in, you can uncheck the box to use your normal internet settings.

When I tried doing that it made my whole computer slow.. I couldn't get on the game.. it kept saying not responding.. and I couldn't get on webpages.
I can't do that stuff.. since my computer is crappy as it is.. and that could kill my computer.
Doing it does make your internet slow, because you're connecting through a public proxy server, which is why you need to turn it off after you get into the game.However, it shouldn't affect your computers speed in anyway as you are only changing internet settings.
Tried it, no luck. Tried a few other things as well and still nothing. What I'm attempting to wrap my little head around is the amount of people that are experiencing this failure. There doesn't seem to be any clear numbers because I know for a fact more than 75% of the people playing don't bother to come to forums to begin with and kids in the states are in school currently. That leaves players from other countries and college students to complain about a lack of connection.
Conclusion: if it is a server error that is effecting almost everyone, I'm not so worried. Everything will be fixed in a few days because as a company, Ntreev like most others, caters to the masses. If it's something experienced by a few handfuls of players, there may not be any fix for it in the short run.
