LloydDunamis:And here I always thought that the chance of digging out items
is purely based on DA, and not some sort of "hotspots" randomly placed
on land. Basic Detection proved me wrong >3<
......... It's been disturbing me. With the idea of the item hot spots (pertaining to the individual spots that Item Detector shows, not the area) different from what I've stated, that renders DA useless in terms of exact "item excavation success" >_>;;. Meaning everyone, high DA or low, can be nice drillers, especially with those hotspots (area)... Sure, it can save Drill Life and Digging Time, especially for non-sense charas, but...
Phoneuma:Anyway, what I wanted to add if I haven't done so already is that when using the two detection skills -- Basic Detection and Item Detector -- you need to click on the right-half of the locator circle. If you click on the left-half and there isn't an overlapping item to the left, you will actually miss the location. It used to not be this way back in Beta, but I've noticed in REVO that you have to click off to the right. You can't even click on the center, as that will translate to clicking on the left.
o_O; Yeah... I started noticing that when I tried to drill point-by-point... Well, even before I read this quote, and not having a Sense character at that, I've come across this same thought... The same idea applies to clicking around to move, too! Thanks for confirming!
It has a badly-written code, I say. Instead of "rounding off", they "truncate".
Taking note of Theou's advice, I wish to provide some kind of picture grid showing where exactly should the drill pointer be clicked on to drill on the spot you intended to drill on. (What? O.o;) This is nice especially for someone finding and exploiting hotspot items so they don't, well, "miss a spot". Hopefully procrastination doesn't kick up >.<
Drilling as a non-Sense chara made me think of this >xD. I mean, without relying on Item Detector's locator circle and all.
"Non-Sense, no sense? NONSENSE!" xD
