Re: Part Two: Hints and Tips~

OK, thanks for the clarification :)

I do have a tip for those that aren't the sense-type though.

If you are drilling for something, let's say a bit rare, find a sense-type that's drilling in the same area. If you see that character perform a skill movement and starts to drill, go for it and drill near them, there's bound to be items there too. :D . But be warned, this is a rather unfriendly approach towards other players.

Also, one more thing, never feel safe with a 2 life on your drill, because using it in a new class of ground means you're out of life. Same goes with a 1 health. 1 drill HP = 0 drill performance.

I, ah, would advise against that...really.  Hotspots on some maps are hard to find, and when a sense type finds one, they're not really willing to share.  It's annoying when people do that, it really is.  It's kinda like standing in line for movie tickets, and someone comes and stands next to you and strikes up a conversation...Then when you both reach the window, they slip in front of you and buy the last ticket.  >[

Plus, to be honest, since I can see where stuff is, if someone tries to horn in on my hotspot, I'll just leave.  Then there's the fact that you don't know how long they've been there, or if it's really a hotspot and not just a couple scattered items.  They could be drilling a relatively empty area, or already cleared out most of the hotspot by the time you get there, so you'd just be wasting drill life.

That's why I warned them against it. I don't do that though, but it sometimes get on my nerves when I drill at SW forest in megalopolis and all of a sudden, a n00b buff (notice the term, n00b) and starts drilling there like crazy and asks me if there are some items HE can dig in the spot where I'm digging.... Oh well, I lost my temper and asked him for a little PvP... bye bye buff, hello new found temper.

you could ask them to cheak an area for you

if they have the higher lv skill they may scan an area away from them

Scop's got the key there, I think.  At least, if the other sense types are like ME that is...If you ever run in to me drilling and you ask me to find a hotspot for you, I probably will probe the area and find one so you won't horn in on mine.  XD

it also works well if your in a search party for event items

you scan around a section of map marking 50 areas

    and it speeds up drilling

Also, it might be just finding a goot spot to drill, but it seems that the longer you drill the more your DA kicks in.

Nah, that's just coincidence.  The success rate of your "DA reactions" as I call them, depends on how much DA you have.  You automatically have a 10% chance of getting a DA reaction, which is why it caps out at 90 DA.

Wow, this is pretty much incredible. I didn't know much about drilling, and I thought that getting items was random. It's pretty interesting to see that items actually appear like that, in certain areas. This should help immensely with my drilling on my dragon. I may have to make a lion someday for easier drilling. ^-^

Re: Part Two: Hints and Tips~

Soon, I'll be adding a "Hotspot Revelation" section to Hints and Tips, showing where common hotspots in areas are.  Of course, I won't reveal them ALL...you gotta do some work.  XD
