I found a tiny problem related to the 300 item limit - 3rd job advancement.

When you are at your maximum item limit, the guardian will not allow you to job change (after clicking on "check" on the screen that shows "before" and "after"), and will say you have 300 items (coincidentally, I may have at least 300 items upon completion of the final quest). The job change will not occur.

Afterwards, you would be stuck there (frozen), unable to move at all. The dialog box is unresponsive. The only remedy is to restart the Trickster Client.

I had to throw several cards out (6 just in case - roughly the same amount as the currently mounted equips as I presume that may be causing it, though I guess only 1 was probably needed anyway) before I can job-change. After job-changing, I can pick up all the cards I have thrown, without equipping my equipment that were unequipped.

When you are at your 300 item limit, you may not be able to buy any item from NPCs. If you do, the purchase dialog box closes without clear prompting. The only indication that you are unable to purchase anything would be shown in your chat-box (i.e. "Failed in purchasing item" or something to that extent). This may also apply to private shop purchases.

If you have 300 items, you cannot pick up anymore items, even those stackable items already in your inventory. You can however use items in your inventory. You can change equips while having 300 items.

It is possible to have more than 300 items. Some quests do not check if after doing the quest you will receive more than 300 items. However, they will check if you are currently carrying 300 items. You can do the quest if you have less than 300 items (however, you *might* be able to do some quests even if you have exactly 300 items). Hence by doing a quest which gives you at least 2 items, you may be able to get 301/302 or more items in your inventory.

You can do quests that do not give you any items even if you have 300 or more items, e.g. certain monster quests.

Oh, now I get why I always encounter this error. I carry all my cards with me because I already have a lot stored in my storage and the cards have almost no weight at all. Is there any way that the 300 item limit exclude cards?

i noticed the item/card inventory windows now have an indicator of how many items/cards your character has on them  ..was that just implimented last update, or am i slow   ...ok, we know im slow..

anyways, i wondered if this could help Damsel or Tuvis (think Tuvis said his sheep had it..) or anybody who's been having wierdness w/ the limit test wether there's an actual glitch..  maybe take screens of it happening, and what the item limit indicator thing says at the time?

i personally have never had issues w/ max item limit, otherwise id try it myself

When item limit is at 300/300, picking up any further items will result in the following error:

"Either the item is mounted or the holding limit is exceeded".

This message is similar to the one where you have exceeded your WT limit. I experience this a lot, and yes, it occurs at exactly 300 items (or more... if you managed to get more than 300 items because of quests, etc.).

The indicator was recently added on Wednesday (22nd Nov) during the patch. It shows up on the Item and Card windows. The item count includes both items and cards.

Its so annoying, my bank gets full and my itmes gets full so easily now because of it.

Beacuse like me and every opne else we all like to sit down at the end of a long days work and sit to a nice dinner.  and to do this we need money meaninf the ntreev must have a constant income of money.  your limited to 300 items alloing ntreev to sell you store more permits.

If you come across anything please post it, I have as of yet seen this to work in any way other than intended.

I think I have some interesting information for you Raven.  Earyler today I logged on and did a quest for the first time since the last patch, I started killing Snowmen.  During the 4th round of killing Snowmen at Snow Hill, A Fellow Guild member mentioned that he was drilling for Crystal of Cat's eye in 2nd Mining Lot of Jade Steel.  I complete the hunt I was curently on(#4) at the gate, "used" the 500 galder cupons I received from the quest, and used my only wing for Azteca to go directly there, I walked to the mine, and started drilling.  I dug up several items in a hotspot and started picking things up leaving the crystal of cat's eye.  I  was able to pick up 1 kunzite gemtosne, 1 kunzite piece, and (possibly not sure if i alreay had them) jasper gemstones.

Upon attempting to pick up the next diffrent item I received a "Either the holding limit is exceeded or the item is already mounted."

At this point I relized that the "300 Item limit" or "300 Item Glitch" as it has been called by people had effected me.  I normaly don't carry quite so many items, but had been for several weeks as I had been focusing on doing hunts due to the Monster Hunt event and hadn't had much time or organize/sell things, ect.

I imediatly took screenshots of all my items, cards, and ewuipment to do a count.  I was curious since I have heard much about the 300 Item limit, but it had not effected me until today.  Here is a compiled screenshot of my total items, I had 336 items, which I beleive is inconsistent with the official statements that have been made about this issue.  I double checked my math, and here is a link to my photbucket album containing all the full screenshots of each tab for my items and cards.

I find it odd that the item limit has not hit me until Imediatly after I did an additional Monster Hunt.  My fiance's character had this effect him about a month ago, it also first effected him immediatly after doing a new hunt.  I will happily provide any more information that might be needed.

Be thankful you got it at such a high level. I got this error before hitting lvl 100. :P

It may not be necessarily 300 items, but it's close. I have about 287 items, with about 12-13 spare slots remaining.

And, no it's not a "glitch", it's a feature!
