I get to the Launcher and it goes to update and downloads the zip supposedly, but never extracts it. And it gives me a message box saying "Trickster Launcher Updated.Please try again"  and when I click ok and restart the application it just repeats.  It seems to do this almost everytime it patches. I've tried a manual patch and re-downloading and re-installing it, but the same message occurs. 

I am assuming it is a problem for some users, but I havent seen any new thread posts I guess it's a problem that will eventually be fixed later.   

go to where your trickster folder is located, rename "splash.exe" to "Xsplash.exe". the launcher will then download a new version of splash.exe. run Xsplash.exe and it should update normally.

According to the forum post of http://forum.ntreev.net/trickster/forums/thread/242944.aspx doing so will not change the outcome of what I have.  I thank you for the comment, but I have tried and tested and it still didnt work for me. 

 

Does this have anything to do with ntreeve on their part? or is it on my end?  because I tried downloading it again and re-installing it and still no good.  I have played this before maintence so I dont know what is going on.

well after trying out another thread http://forum.ntreev.net/trickster/forums/1/247039/ShowThread.aspx it seems I am still not able to patch correctly as it doesnt decompress the file at all.  Seems im stumped as the game worked for me just before the maintenence and now....i cant even click the checkfile due to the message box coming up and closing the splash window.
