Introduction

Hello,

Since I am pretty much finished with this course (until I go into deeper research regarding calculation of portals) I figured I would combine my "mental notes" into a few images and post them up here in case anyone has some major Lost Seaway problems.

Setup

Most of these shots are written from the view of a "chipin player" with a 264 drive. You might be short on some holes, some tee offs might not work as shown with your drive, some shots might even give you an O.B. However, I tried to include a lot of general info that should help you find the right way to go.

Guide

I split up each hole into one big image with text and pointers written directly onto it. Click the the according hole to view the full image.

Additional Stuff

This stuff here is all experimental and probably does not work. I have only played this course for like a week until I got a score which I was happy with (for now). Below are a few notes as is straight from my notebook:

Hole 14 HIO HWIs (264):

206: 0.61 (9 spin) - 221 cut 3W (anything lower = death)
217: 0.71 (8 spin) - 221 cut 3W (anything lower = death)
225: 0.85 (7~8 spin) - 221 cut 3W (anything lower = death)

Hole 8 HIO HWIs (264):

302: 1.132 max sma toma
314: spike sma 1.66

Greenslopes:

Hole 1:
360: 0.4 / -0.4

361: 0.25 / -0.25
369: 0.25 / -0.25

Hole 2:
256: 0.05 / -0.05 (seems to change > 2m left wind)

Hole 4: All pins might be 0 from the rough in low winds, probably not though.

Hole 5 (from fairway after spin mastery):
324:  -0.3 / 0.3
333:  -0.3 / 0.3
339:  -0.55 / 0.55

Hole 9:
All pins are 0.4/-0.4 from fairway on the right, solid stuff.

Hole 18:
All pins are 0?

Here's some useful pics for HIO attempts on H1(360y pin) and H11(349y pin)

Hole 1

H1 Reference Point

Proof that it *kinda* works: Video link (274y toma, 258y powercut on 7m headwind. spike dunk.)

Hole 11 (wrong pin sorry, it should be the 349y one)

H11 Reference Point

No proof on hole 11 yet, but I've gotten it a few times on KR.. I forgot about the curve in that hole, I think it's 1-2 curve.. You can try it yourself if you want

Awesome guide, thanks so much. I was a little clueless with where would be good places to hit for Lost Seaway but this will surely help me a lot. :3

nice tips tomato, thanks a lotclap

people with shorter drive 250y and less can hit 2w bs cobra into the portal on h5, to get on green in 1 and close to pin

had some good results with that

Gotta say, the first time I played Lost Seaway I got like -14 or something. With the guide I got -21, even though I bogeyed and par'd.

about that HWI i know you calculate it with Sin(angle) x wind x HWI but that number you get in there is the aim right? but is that number for power bars or squares?

it's for powerbars in 640x480 resolution i think..

The HWI and greenslopes written here are in tiles. If you want to conver them to powerbar you have to mulitiply them by *1.08*5

I'm a 250y user, but I thought I might put my two cents in on a hole.  On hole 14, I use a spin mastery tomahawk powerspin to get over them, and this will at least set me up for a decent 6 iron chip in attempt. I believe this works for 2w and 3w but the 3w would obviously be a better choice.
