(I know making a post like this is kinda hypocritical, but I feel like I have to at least get my feelings out so people understand where I'm coming from)
I didn't wanna do this, especially after last time, but I can't take anymore.
When we finally got shops back, I was so happy. I was confident that things were taking a turn for the better, and that people would be happy, and this community would change for the better.
Sadly, I was wrong.
Due to the high prices and some duping bug I just found out about, people are more upset than ever.
And due to a few people here who shall remain nameless, the levels of BAAAAW here have reached critical mass.
That by itself wouldn't be enough to drive me away. However.......
Despite all this, I have retained my disgusting optimism. And have been punished for it.
Numerous people (who, again, shall remain nameless) have stated that I'm a retard for speaking out against all the complaining, and that I don't deserve to live. (Not in those exact words, but you get the idea.)
The final nail in the coffin came today on IRC, when a nameless someone decided to not only remind me that I don't deserve to live, but even went so far as to accuse me of sucking up to the GMs. Not only that, but someone who I thought was my friend decided to jump on the bandwagon.
That was the proverbial "last straw".
I've had it with this community and everyone in it. I'm sick of everyone screaming bloody murder and pointing fingers instead of expressing their opinions like civil human beings. And I'm ESPECIALLY sick of everyone else being allowed to say whatever the hell they want, no matter how nasty it is, while I'm being punished just for expressing my distaste at how people are acting. I've pretty much come to accept the fact that no one here cares about this game anymore. And because of that, it's only a matter of time before it finally dies.
It has gotten to the point where I really don't think anyone likes this game anymore. They only stick around because they want something to complain about, and people to point fingers at. And when it finally dies, no one will care. They'll just move on and find another game to complain about.
The game I have loved for five long years is dead.
And there's nothing I can do about it.
So, I quit.
I didn't wanna have to do it. I still have 40+ wonderful friends on my buddy list, and 10K Cash Points sitting around that I was saving for the next scratchy set. I didn't wanna have to leave this game, especially after all the fun and good times I've had. But all you people on the "ZOMG NGREEDBR IS TEH SUXORS" bandwagon don't want me around, so I'm leaving and saving everyone the trouble.
Maybe someday, when this game is up to snuff and this community finally comes to its senses, I might come back. But right now, nothing short of a MAJOR revelation is going to bring me back.
I'll still be checking the site and the forums every week or so to check up on the situation, but I'm not posting unless I ABSOLUTELY have to. Unlike hinanocchi, I don't believe in trolling for fun.

one thing you should never do in life is let other people dictate what you do, if your quitiing because of people and how they react to said situation then you are quitting for the wrong reasons. i think you're a smart person, least from what i read, but what bothers me about this is you are quitting because of the communities actions, the communities words, but you shouldn't be playing for the community, you should be playing because you enjoy it, and the company of friends you gathered. so , if you are quitting, truely think of why you are.

Just because a community hates you for being different, doesn't mean you should just quit. TBH I'm sick of all the down right negativity spam from most people, half of it I swear is just people jumping on the bandwagon...Ah well, it's your choice in the end. Have to agree with Kat. You take the negetive much to closely to heart. You're an overly positive guy, and there's nothing wrong with that. But leaving behind 40+ friends because a couple of people were mean to you is pretty outside the realm of reason. Actually, that long chat I had with you in December did improve my opinion of you and when I was asked about it, I did tell a couple of people that after that, I didn't think you were that bad a guy. But by all means, feel free to keep assuming everybody and their mother hates you and speaks ill of you just because they don't agree with you if this somehow makes you feel better about yourself.
And no, on that particular point (just the quoted bit, that's all I will address), you can't really have a legit excuse for that, so I'm glad you won't be defending yourself on that.
