Gm's i was dc'd numerous times tonight. my quit rate went up. the srvers are not running properly. Not just me either, tons in the lobby were saying the same thing........

Maybe I'm just naive, but has anyone noticed that after Wednesday's update (11/18/09), there has been a total absence of hackers on the tourneys?

I've played 10 tourneys so far since the update and aside from some high scores that ARE do-able (causing some to scream Hacker), all of the pang ranges were in the acceptable range.

Call me crazy, but I think the big surprise some were expecting happened, just not what everyone thought it would be, but a huge plus nonetheless.

So I will say to the GM's and Ntreev, I hope I'm right, and THANK YOU!

p.s.: If I AM right....shops soon, please? Christmas present to the loyal players?

Gacha Odds - Let's Be Science-y!

So a common criticism of people saying the odds of anything are high / low is that they're only complaining because they lost or only thinking its high because they won, or that they only see complaints because people only post if they lose, etc. etc. and it all gets boring and pointless rather quickly.

So! Here's what we're going to do. We already have a pretty good idea that at the tail end of this maintenance the Gacha is going to contain the Eon Ring and fantasy outfits for Azer, Cecilia, Kooh, Kaz and maybe Lucia.

In the run-up to the maintenance, I'd like people to post to "sign up" here if they intend to play Gacha after the servers go up. Shortly before maintenance starts, I will post again listing all the people who have "signed up" and that post will be a definitive sample with no further changes being made to it. I will also ask a mod to lock the thread, which won't be strictly necessary but it would mean the list itself could not be edited.

Once that is done, when the game comes back up, everyone who is on the list can play Gacha and list their results (either in full or just "x coins, x rares"). 24 hours after that will be a "finish point", upon which I'll declare results submission over and list what should hopefully be a fairly substantial overall result free of "only posting because they won/lost" bias.

Perhaps a little ambitious, but with the gacha set changing it's an opportunity to test this idea out to see how well it works.

I'll start by throwing my own name on the list, of course.

Hello, kiddies. I'd like to talk to the Ntreev staff about something that I've had on my mind for a long time now.

Now Ntreev, we all know by now that you're using Gacha to help catch up with the KR scratchy rares, and that's all fine and good. But due to the iffy rates that some people have experienced, along with the steep price of coins, I've made up my mind to NEVER touch Gacha. Which means there will be certain scratchys I'll be missing out on.

The following is a list of scratchy rares that I NEVER wanna see end up in Gacha.

*Goth Dress Set

*EITHER of the Pirate Outfit sets

*Olympic Sports Set (I WANT Arin's Equestrian Outfit)

*Dancing Gypsy Set

*Nurse Set

Got that, Ntreev? If ANY of these sets ends up in Gacha........I will be left with no other choice but to unleash AN UNSPEAKABLE HORROR ACROSS NTREEVLAND! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!

Okay, so we get the patch, and what do we get? New Gacha, new motion item (sorry, ANIMATION ACCESSORY), and a nice little event.

Other than that, NOTHING. No bugfixes, no guilds, no super-mega anti-hacker plan, NADA, ZIP, ZILCH, A BIG FAT GOOSE EGG!

I know I promised Take-chan that I'd keep my faith until my Devilly ran out (It still has at least 90 days), but COME ON!

Now, this could all very well be a big misunderstanding, but I'm still disappointed. I wanna keep my faith in this game, but snafus like this make it kinda tough.

Grimm, I'd be most thankful if you could pop in here and give us some answers.

Why is it apparently just Cecilia that gets stupid boosts from this Gacha set? That's 3 extra Curve over what she can normally get.

Kooh also benefits quite a bit - her gloves give a much-needed second point of Curve, but she could at least already get Curve +1 ones from the shop. Her shoes also give her a curve slot she doesn't normally get.

k this is just a random post that probably many will ignore

i don't have kaz and probably wont for a while, though when i looked at the kaz motion (in youtube) i thought lol that's rather interesting

then later i thought this... (i do often have random thoughts in my mind that seemingly come out of nowhere),... i think many of you would be familiar with kyrakuu's "pink heart apron" self-design for kaz, ... (if not scroll down this page)

what if you play a game of stroke, and one of the persons you are playing with uses a kaz wearing that pink heart apron along with the new motion earing, and you play the game... would you be able to stay focused through the game?

I'm thinking of rebirth this idea afther Halloween. The old master/students will be called and I want to know how it goes and how much they learn... some of then are inactive in the forum so I need help this time 'cuz My friend list is full and I need to call everyone in the game also, I dont want to make this alone.

The old master/student will gift a pang set/item/club to theyr students as compensation for the hard work, If u had any problem with your student/teacher let me know to resolve with my helpers.

P.S: About the exams... In a game, the luck is important, If you're good enough but for X reason u didn't win in the exams, is fair If I say that you're not winner? that you have to wait for the next exams to receive your gift or to pick up more students??.

Thanksgiving event mascots and coins thoughts

Both mascots last for just 1 day. Its a total waste for the 50 bronze coins and I tell you why. For 40 bronze coins you can get 20x2 double exp items and 10 coins left. Which can be used for 14x 3 hole games. Every game takes about 20 minutes without boosters. So its ~280 minutes with double exp. While the exp mascot gives just 20% more exp. To make the mascot worth more than the 20x2 double exp items you need more than 5 x 280 minutes of playing time A DAY! 5 x 20% = 100% = double exp. Thats 1400 minutes of playing A DAY! Thats 23 hours A DAY until the mascot pays out! Thats really stupid NTreev! Make the mascots at least 7 days!

Now my thoughts about the coins. In the event description it says 'The more coins you have, the harder it will be to get more'. I wonder if they really mean the amount of coins in your invertory, including silver and gold coins. What if you have 100 bronze coins, you make 10 silver from it and then 1 gold. So you have just 1 coin, which isnt really much. So the drop rate is back to normal again?? Or does the gold coin count for 100 bronze coins? Any ideas?
