Sweatshop:It looks like other ppl are having fun posting sneak peek stuff publicly in front of the GMs. Very smart move to ruin this opportunity guys.
"In front of the GMs" ? Do you really think your super-secret special website isn't public? Or could it be that you'd prefer people to link to it in the waiting room threads instead of "circumventing" it by doing exactly what you do in a place the forum-users already are?
Ntreev, please publicise future event/update images the moment you upload them. If necessary, upload them after the news/patch pages, or bring those pages forward so they're online before the client can update.
I generally like Sweatdrop's coverage of Pangya, but it's ridiculous that he not only gets credit for "bringing people update information first" but apparently expects that to the point of getting huffy when it doesn't happen.
Besides, it's hardly an "opportunity". It'll be the same update ~4 hours later either way.
So I can't make a new post, but I can edit the original one. How odd! Nevertheless, I'll have to respond to all subsequent posts here. Sorry for the confusion. To readers of this thread: Ignore everything below the line above until you've read the rest of it. Imagine this as "the post at the bottom of the thread", if you will.
Sweatdrop:Posting sneak peek pictures in the forum where GMs moderates gives them a sign that people can find previews of the upcoming updates before server maintenance happens.
Posting sneak peek (URL-mined) update images anywhere does that. Even when they weren't posted as images in the waiting rooms, people directly linked your blog. There's no real difference.
Sweatdrop:You've seen that people posted a banner about the Devil's tail that got removed from their post.
That was me, in the waiting room thread itself, and the image is still there.
Sweatdrop:Now that they are aware, they probably won't post it up earlier than usual. And thus, it "ruins the opportunity" to see the upcoming previews of the updates now that the Pangya US team is fully aware.
I disagreed with the whole concept of "sneak peeking" because it was first publicising official images elsewhere, something I expect Ntreev were aware of anyway, but if you can see why they wouldn't like it, why do it at all?
My request to Ntreev above was intented as written - I believe they should be the first to bring us update information. They made both the update and the notice, and should be able to say when people see it.
Sweatdrop:So your next retaliation would be about me stating the sneak peek previews on Twitter. However, I never posted a single banner or picture from their work. Just because I said it in words doesn't mean that it's fact. It could be a guess, or mere speculation. That's totally different than posting a picture where the GMs moderates and does not consider it appropriate to post it publicly on their site instead.
Say what? "Sweatdrop Live Gaming" is your site, is it not? You have been posting update images before the client downloads updates and the images are publicised. Shoot for the Stars is an excellent example because you took images from a page they ultimately didn't make until nearly a day after the update was live. I know this because I reminded them of it.
Sweatdrop:So what I find rude to the topic creator is to make a thread post with my name on it to defame me over misunderstood matters when you could have messaged me or emailed me your personal concerns.
I'll give you that a name in a thread title seems malicious, but its intention was as an "ATTN". Had I titled the thread "on swiping update images", I would not expect you to have been able to see it.
Could I have contacted you directly? I could have done. In fact I've done so in the past on your blog comments to give more information on various updates (some of which were not added to the blog entirely correctly, e.g. Joy Candy renaming). I chose not to do so here because hey - your Twitter message to all was hardly PM'ing the guy who posted the update images in the forum (me).
Sweatdrop:But it's ok, everyone makes mistakes.
That's a roundabout way of calling me wrong, and of course I disagree.
Sweatdrop:Perhaps all this addiction to the forum
So subtle.
Sweatdrop:Have a great weekend everyone. I cannot help those who has a problem with what I do that people enjoys my work from all over the world that I've devoted for over the past four years.
When you actually say this in such a deliberately OTT way, it ruins all pretense of innocence.
endofanubis:Any written, defamatory statement or representation that conveys an unjustly unfavorable impression is considered libel and will be removed.
The irony is that that's what the Twitter message was, and why I responded to it.
endofanubis:the thread creator has changed the name in the quote to 'Sweatshop' from 'Sweatdrop,'
Whoops! I actually didn't mean to do that. The two words are too darn similar. Incidentally I remember this happening back in the good ol' IRC channel a couple times back in the day.
cheuklau: I think what they will deal with this problem is either they will continue to let us peek ^_^ or not anymore T_T.
Yep.
Bottom line: If it's OK at all, it's OK to post in the waiting room threads (invalidating the Twitter rant). If it's not OK to post at all, it shouldn't be happening anywhere.
And no, I won't declare this "settled" just because you don't have a chance to respond here. I know it's unfair (just like it would have been had I been unable to edit btw) and I'm sorry it came to that.
Cool story bro.

LOL good topic, but I guess Gms are not allowed to leak any update information before the patch according to their contract agreement with the company. Commonly, a company has to test the update during the maintenance. Sometimes, GMs do have to take off part of the update in the patch if it fails to work, and the advance announcement will lead to a liability of the company. In this situation, they will then have to explain what their problem is and why part of the update is taken off.o avoid this kind of troublesome work, they have a favor of not posting any information about the update officially in advance. On the other hand, the "peeked" information is not an official announcement, and they do not have any responsibility to it. In my opinion, I think what they will deal with this problem is either they will continue to let us peek ^_^ or not anymore T_T.
peeking is not a sin, isn't it?

Hi Miraglyth!
It looks like there has been a misunderstanding. So allow myself to elaborate further on that restricted 140 word restriction on Twitter.

You've seen that people posted a banner about the Devil's tail that got removed from their post. Now that they are aware, they probably won't post it up earlier than usual. That's totally different than posting a picture where the GMs moderates and does not consider it appropriate to post it publicly on their site instead. I don't care anybody posts it on their own site, or forum, but on Ntreev's forum is completely different.
I show my respect to Pangya US and only upload the entire pictures, news, and contents of Pangya US on my site as soon as the game goes under server maintenance. I could do it earlier, but I rather wait and appropriately post it up when the time is right.
I don't care for credit, fame, or any other form that other people probably thinks of me. I enjoy Pangya to have fun, and never to prove anything even though people think I do.
So what I find rude to the topic creator is to make a thread post with my name on it to defame me over misunderstood matters when you could have messaged me or emailed me your personal concerns. So the situation has turn rather than making me looks like I'm the bad guy now.
But it's ok, everyone makes mistakes. Perhaps all this addiction to the forum is a sign that things get too personal where things get misunderstood. I would suggest you take a break from the forum before you become the next Renbail. No big deal. :D

Agreed with you Sweatdrop. I did not know how you might have seen this attack, so refrained from posting. But since you found this rude as well; Allow me to point out a rule from the Form Code of Conduct for the thread creator:
Do not libel anyone. Any written, defamatory statement or representation that conveys an unjustly unfavorable impression is considered libel and will be removed.
Edit: and since the thread creator has changed the name in the quote to 'Sweatshop' from 'Sweatdrop,' I am forced to bring up another rule of:
Harassment. If you are the target of a harassment or a personal attack by another user, do not respond in kind (we will action all violations of our harassment policy).
**And keep in mind all the other rules posted should flames come my way.**
aw come on Mira, I thought you were better than that. relax sir, maybe time for a break from this server and this game
/raegquit this server
Since the misunderstanding is cleared up, this post should be locked out.
