noodlechaku: lol, yes. i've barely touched any of the honorifics beyond "polite" speech. You'd be amazed at just how much of Japanese is honorific. Using the "masu" at the end of words is honorific. It just starts getting really complicated when you have to start showing deference to people based on your position relative
