By the way, when I say I'll be in trouble without it, I mean when facing high stated players.
Ug, I hate stat battles.
Kenshin, I'm assuming that you have a fairly bad connection, because even as a savior, you have quite a few options to use that would normally not reflect at a high rate unless there's a fair degree at lag.
With savior, here are the high-probability reflect attacks:
Here are the low-probability/no-probability reflect attacks:
Plenty of options there. Significantly, the dash attacks serve extremely well to destroy shields. Furthermore, Savior is a character with a high-grab radius and frequency - which completely nullifies shields. Even the double-jump attack CAN be used; since Savior has such high defense, reflect does very limited damage to her - and even if it reflects, it destroys the shield and enables a very good stunlock since the Arme isn't expecting her super armor to wear off that fast (unless there's lag, but lag ruins everything).
Also, keep in mind that MP regen rates are fixed at one bar per 10 seconds, unless you let the Arme stand still. Which means, you have a ten second period to break a shield and deal damage. Shields typically break in 2-3 hits, maybe four or five if they're stacking vitality and you're using low-damage attacks; grabs will completely nullify it. So, I don't see how hard it is to do four hits, or one grab and a hit within ten seconds.
I can totally understand wanting to keep the skill. It's incredibly handy sounding. It just doesn't seem balanced.
Nobody should have a skill that makes them immune to basically everything, especially not a 1 MP skill. if such a skill were to exist it ought to be a very short duration, or have some double-edged sword effect like lowering your attack power by 60% while it's active.
The skill lasts how long? I'd assume 10 or 20 seconds from my experiences fighting against it, but can't say for sure. People keep claiming their skills "remove" it, but I've hammered Arme players with Spring Slash, then turned around and Shadow Stranger'ed them, and they just remain happily immune.
Any other setup would be fine really. 50% blocked and 50% returned, or all blocked and only 25% returned, or nothing blocked but everything returned. It's just that being immune is already a pretty big deal without it also helping you kill us. Arme has enough firepower on her own without passive damage slamming us in the face
Updated levels due to sig file being lost:
Elesis: 41, Lire: 35, Arme: 15, Lass: 47, Ryan: 40, Ronan: 41, Amy: 19, Jin: 30, Sieg: 30
Zamte, many of the ST variations tend to leave you very suspectible to reflection: for example, probably half of Lass' ST 1st bars reflect because they're based upon many small, stunning hits. Furthermore, these hits tend to be too low to break the shield (by the way, a shield will break if it takes too much damage, reflected or not). If you're that concerned about reflection, I'd go with a different first bar for your technique. Also, keep in mind that the most popular (or apparently popular) second bar for lass, that skill where he does multiple zig-zag jumps, completely rapes Arme's FP. Not to mention, Kunais also destroy FPs very effectively without reflection. The reflection is NOT a big deal, it just prevents you from using certain skills and abilities.
Part of the reason why it might be a big deal comes down to lag and C+ games. I see that the majority of people tend to stack defense in C+ games - this completely works to the advantage of Arme players, because the shield is based upon a certain damage done based upon your vitality (like savor). So, you're more or less chipping away at her shield with your extremely low damage - and that creates full invincibility through entire skills, even. The game is intended to be played A+, and with A+ games, this advantage completely disappears. Secondly, lag tends to ruin the skill because if an Arme teleports or otherwise gains invincibility while you're using your skill, and you THINK you hit them, it'll reflect. Otherwise, reflect rates are very low. So, in theory, FP's balanced in terms of reflection - but with the addition of lag, like so many other items, it confers a huge advantage to the holder. Fortunately, the levels of lag needed are fairly significant - otherwise, you won't be seeing it very much.
Also, to answer your earlier semi-question, Arme's FP leaves her VERY suspectible to any holding/cursing/status effect skills. Normally, when she dashes, she is invincible to these skills; with FP on, if she say, dashes into an ice pixie attack (even clipping it), she'll be frozen.
And I would argue that it is indeed a double edged sword, not only for the above reason. Arme is a primarily a MP attacker; her regular attacks are fairly slow and ineffective compared to melee classes (DA comes to mind) that can almost completely forgo MP and still do fine with it. Consistently keeping up the shield renders her firepower extremely limited; granted, it ups her survivability, but unless your opponent leaves you alone to charge and to keep up a shield for a long amount of time, you won't be able to launch many other attacks. In fact, I actually forgo FP now in favor of one of her other 1st bars - otherwise, I'm just not pumping out enough damage to break the standstills that come so often in pvp. Secondly, since it confers super armor, but only for limited hits, this becomes an issue. I can't tell you how many times my FP's worn out after a few hits of me dashing in, only to have me be raped by some kind of lock or attack since it caught me off guard.
I dunno, it's not any more OP then most of the other controversial skills. It's actually easier for me when I'm DA to kill Armes. If they grab or skill or dash with it on I can get hits in.
conspiring, i dont know if you ever read my previous thread (tone here is not hostile) but i stated that i live extremely close to the server, which for some freak reason give me a totally different set of rules.
so no, i have a very good connection
and this large grab radius, doesnt exist for me. basically i need to be walking next to them in order to grab, but under my rules everyone else gets the grab before me.
ask sumi,
all she had to do was let me get in close, even when i hit her i was still hurt, then on top of that she always was able to grab me.
one of my lifes went away on 3 bar i used on her, btw my def was 747 at the time.
also i did an expierment to see what the difference would be if i put a bit more stress on my connection and the results where that i was able to do the same thing as everyone else so now that that is thrown out the window
i have nothing to say on the issue lol. w/e happens happens right? hahahaha awesome way to finish
I still don't understand why she never gets a nerf...

Arme's gotten nerfs before (intentional or not). The Arme player base just doesn't care enough to complain about them
Publicly at least.

Arme is fine the way she is now. No need for nerfing.
Grab Arme and problem solved.

and hi there Azelf i added you in game accept ^_^

All you have to do to stop a nuke is walk up next to it and defuse it.
Both ideas are about equally advised.
Grabbing Arme isn't easy considering by the time you're even half a screen away from her she has half of her abilities capable of kicking your butt to the curb, let alone close enough to grab, at which point she could very easily just grab you first. As stupid as it is, Arme and Lire are more lethal at melee range than the melee classes are. Giving us even more reasons to have to get that close is just going to get us killed all the more often.
Hmmm.

But I have nothing to worry about. Ntreev would never nerf there precious customers. Aka, me :P
If you think Myurin is over-powered, I applaud you. Your the first person with an IQ below 5 to figure out how to use a keyboard AND the internet...at the same time.

Unfortunantly, the "nerfs" actually didn't have a cause at all.
Arme is currently still powerful as ever...

And so is Ronan...
It seems like the only nerfs that ever accure are for amy.
Occour*
Ronan had only two nerfs: Infinite Sword & Holy Inferno. They're still pretty weak though, and no one uses DK anymore because of this.
