I'm a girl also, and although I am coincedentally majoring in Culinary arts atm, I believe i am good at this game.
I believe (not sure) there were only 5 or lower females in the top 24. I was one of them.
So although I do belong in the kitchen (lol) I can be good at the game too. So give us females credit where it belongs >.>

Sorry Ari but I would have lost to them even if my stats were higher. I might have put up a better fight if I had more stats, but in the end I would have still lost. In fact the person that beat me in the playoffs had less stats then me.

If the person that beat you in the playoffs had more stats too, they'd be alot less successful.
That guy can beat edesy, easily I would say, on even stats that is.
If you had stats like them, you'd hold a room along longer and score alot more points, which would put you alot higher on the list! That, I tell you, is the ONLY reason edesy could win 2nd, because he started there. Put edesy on the bottom of that list of 24, and let him fight his way up, he'd lose somewhere along the way for sure - and it won't be too long.
heh, poor edesy, he's the scapegoat example of my argument. But, the truth is undeniable, sadly.

The reason I'm denying it is, because I lost. I have absolutely no regrets, I feel proud that I made it to the playoffs, I feel proud that I played a great Wolf even without "otto." This tournament was a great experience for me and I have nothing to complain about. I lost where I should have lost, as I've said and as cow said, I am not in the tier I yet need to be to compete up there with the winners. That does not mean I'll give up, someday I hope to be up there. As things stand, Myko beat me on a equal stat match without using any skills.
I am not better then them, I did not lose because of outside reasons such as stats or Skill Trees. They were simply better then me, period.
You do not need to defend your relationship with Arinoa anymore, because I take back what I said, to be respectful of you. You be friends with who you see fit, you're a very nice person, sorry that I involved you.
It's good you've got a learning experience out of this. Tournaments are all about learning. Through competing there is no doubt you've learned much more than you have before.
Also, I'd like to point out to Arinoa that etesy had to 1v1 Koun, who ultimately defeated Sora. The whole point of this tournament system was to give the "weaker" players an opportunity to get to the higher players. Etesy was not given a free win, and he had to fight Koun to earn it. Yes, I know he's a male, but he's still one of the best DAs out there, despite his obvious flaw (gender).

Your ego has been threatened by the possiblity of getting beaten by a girl, one who you don't even know who she is, and might land in your room and fight you. I'm annoying I know.. I know its annoying when somebody doesn't approve of you because of something that seems so silly to you. I assure you though, its not the only reason.
Me? I never said I was a pro, I never tried to be one. If I wanted to actually be a pro, i'd actually play enough and train enough to be one. I just don't care that much, not about myself. My role is that of an instigator, I contribute to the competitiveness, hehe. Mainly I just encourage girls ingame, or via forum convos, not just about playing GC - but other aspects of life as well. I'm a feminist, can't help it. Meylu is in that tier actually, she just lacks the drive to win.. Like, she has the ability, but not the determination. And it matters alot. Doesn't matter though, she's gone now.
I wouldn't worry about the status of my friends with me, i'm doing fine thank you. Meylu didn't quit because "she realized she was bad". Nice way of belittling someone... She had pretty good reasons actually, which are none of your business. Not everyone care about an online game as much as you do, apparently..

I might feel his scorne ingame when I meet him, though honestly I couldn't care less. Nothing will stop me from saying my opinion. Define "my own business", I was in this tourny, I witnessed it, I saw people's comments about it. I made conclusions following it. That makes it very much my business :p
