^ Topic.

I've just started being more active on the forums (mainly in the suggestion forums since it has the most interesting discussions) and I've noticed that many suggestions are exactly the same (in essence) on the exact same page. It starts to become a pain to read the same suggestions over and over again (yes I'm complaining), but the real issue is, that people continuously reply to them even the after discussion has been exhausted and have become extremely off topic, bumping them up, and bumping down many suggestions that are actually still in discussion.

I haven't seen any moderation of this forum whatsoever within the timeframe I've been active, while on the other forums there is more active topic locking etc.

I propose that there be a better cleanup crew in these forums. Deleting/closing exhausted suggestions. Maybe even managing a sticky topic linking people to common ideas that have been posted multiple times, i.e. Trade Function, Nerf (insert character here), Male starter characters.. etc

There is no need for "better moderation." If a new or repeated idea is made. Discussion is allowed. I am not going to lock a thread just because it said trading idea!!1!1!!!1!1. The only reason I would have to lock a thread is if it was a necro or anything else that demands moderation. Otherwise.. let a thread die.

I have read it.

That isn't what I meant. What I meant was a constantly updated directory with links to topics. What you have there is a general guide to posting suggestions.

If I let it die, it doesn't mean others will let it die. Some topics have been off topic for the past couple days and many of them have turned into flame wars.

all you have to do is bring the topic up to a mod explaining your concern and they will take a look at it and see if anything fishy is going on

also the mods have lives and are busy with jobs, family and so on and they may not have time to go through every single thread looking for problems so sometimes it's up to you as a member of the community to bring these things up to them when a problem is spotted

There actually was a stickied post at one point managed by a forum user that contained a list of all past and current "popular" suggestions.  It was a nice post to have, I don't know what happened to it, or the user who managed it.  You seem concerned about the issue, so if you'd like to personally re-create that thread, I would be more than happy to sticky it.

Also, just because you don't see us do something, doesn't mean we don't do it.  I'm not a big fan of announcing moves or deletes or locks or whatever...  Unless it's necessary (or unless I'm already posting in the thread anyway).  Though I'll admit, the Suggestions Forum is a place I visit much less often compared to other sections.

Anyway as was said before me, if there's something you think should be managed feel free to PM one of us moderators (try not to bug the GMs about it unless it's a report or something), or you could always use the Poke Thread.

It was de-stickied because my schedule got a little too hectic so I couldn't update it as much as I would have liked. (I was gone from the forums for like 2 weeks --_--).
