ok so im trying to upgrade my shdow necklace to lvl 9 to no hope so far... so i stored up around 600 gems and kept tally of 176 upgrades just to see what my chances are, and also if the switching server method i saw on youtube works at all.
for the first 88 times i went just one after another without waiting
for a lvl 6: 50 total
upgrade: 18% downgrade: 0% same: 82%
for a lvl 7: 30 total
upgrade: 6% downgrade: 30% same: 63%
for a lvl 8: 8 total
upgrade: 0% downgrade: 25% same: 75%
interesting things:
ammount times a lvl 6 stayed the same before a change 0 - 17
ammount times a lvl 7 stayed the same before a change 0 - 9
ammount times a lvl 8 stayed the same before a change 3
for the next 88 times i switched servers for each upgrade
for a lvl 6: 52 total
upgrade: 21% downgrade: 0% same: 79%
for a lvl 7: 32 total
upgrade: 6% downgrade: 34% same: 59%
for a lvl 8: 4 total
upgrade: 0% downgrade: 50% same: 50%
ammount times a lvl 6 stayed the same before a change 0 - 12
ammount times a lvl 7 stayed the same before a change 0 - 5
ammount times a lvl 8 stayed the same before a change 0 - 2
Overview: as you can see percentage wise its pretty much the same. The switching server method appears to cause change faster than just clicking one after another. but the first methode is faster.
anyone have any other method that has allowed them to upgrade their necklace with little gems?
if other people want to post their numbers we can compile them to get a more accurate percentage.

I have over-estimated your powers of observation, darkboy. You failed to notice that the word, "column" in the beta effect description is singular. While the one in alpha effect is plural.
