Want to make a fan character?

Here are a few things to keep in mind.

Be original
- The less common your character is, the more interesting it'll be.
Take your time
- Don't rush your character. Take time to make it as in depth as you can.
- Consider issues such as gameplay mechanics (is this skill realistic given the GC game engine?), balance issues (is your character too perfect?), and compatibility (will this character fit into the storyline?).
Be descriptive
- Give as much info about your character's looks, story, attacks and skills as you can.
- If you're also an artist, draw some pictures!
- If you're also a writer, maybe write a short story or even a full one to accompany your character (ex. see my fan character "Seele," or the fanfic "Pure Soul").
Look at examples
- This thread is obviously a great resource for examples. :)

Fan Made Character Weapon and Job List - compiled by Lilneko, this post is an excellent resource for anyone looking to make a fan character. Almost or perhaps all of the previously used jobs and weapons from every fan char on the forums are listed here. Skim through it for ideas, or make sure your own idea isn't already used.

Gonna do some more fan char hunting some time this week to dig up any that aren't on the list.

Not sure if people haven't seen this thread or they just don't care, but I wish people would post links to their chars if they're not here Oh well I'll just have to stop bein' lazy.
