PvP Exploitation Guide!

In my opinion, the number of swappers have increased dramatically. I believe its from lack of information on the subject. As we know, some of the people that play GC, do not visit the forum. Hopefully, people that are looking at the forums while they download the game see this guide, and rejoice, because they have gained valuable knowledge!

This is not a guide to exploit PvP. If you came here in the hopes of doing so; I suggest converting to the side of good, and reading on. Not only is exploiting PvP bannable, it in no way gives you the satisfaction of hard work! (Or easy work, depending on how good you are. :P) Without further ado, I present my guide!

PvP Exploitation Guide!

Swapping

Swapping - The act of "trading" wins with another player.

Example:

In my opinion, the most commonly seen title. Swapping and Trading Wins are the same thing.

Example 2:

Another common occurence. That's just an example of a title, they all look similar though.

Most people swap to gain levels faster. The sad thing is, most people don't even know it's a bannable offence! Even new forumites don't have a clue;though with prolonged stays, the would soon find out.

Dual Boxing

Dual Boxing - Using two computers; at once; to enable pvp with yourself.

Note: People get swapping and dual boxing mixed up. Swapping is letting someone else win, then they giving you a win in return. Dual Boxing would be someone having a record of.... 145 Wins | 0 Losses.

Example:

I do not have two computers..but I would love that setup. (Thats an image from google, not someone Dual Boxing.)

Unfortunately, we cannot tell if a room in question is being used to dual box. Therefor, I did not provide any room titles. A quick way of telling dual boxing apart from regular playing, is checking the park. Unless someone is REALLY good, they should not be able to get 150+ wins without a loss.

Don't let the people with 150+ wins and ONE loss fool you. They probably added that one loss to seem less conspicuous!

Macros

GMLoki:

In an effort to maintain the security and integrity of the game experience, it is often necessary to take countermeasures against certain exploitative behavior. We would like to take this opportunity to clarify our stance on macros or any other "auto" software or hardware.

First off, as expressed in the Terms of Use, any use of such software or hardware is a violation which may result in account action up to and including permanent account closure.

Terms of Use:

16. Use, develop or distribute "auto" software programs, "macro" software programs or other "cheat utility" software program or applications in violation of the applicable License Agreements.

The official test for exploitative macros is "One keystroke per input"

This means that if you push a button, your software/hardware can only send one keystroke to the game client. If you press a button and more than one keystroke is sent before your next input, that is exploitative and will subject your account to actions including permanent closure. If you press a button and your action is repeated in game more than once, that is exploitative. If you press a button and a sequence of commands are executed in game, that is exploitative.

It is important to distinguish the difference between an exploitative macro though and a useful game utility. For example, many players have expressed familiarity with and use of "JoyToKey" software. The main use of this program, which is legitimate, allows players to map single keystrokes to Joystick and/or Game Controller inputs, to enable play of Grand Chase with such a controller. We want to encourage this. =)

We will continue to monitor the use of third-party hardware and software as it interacts with our game and take all appropriate actions to ensure that everyone has a safe and fair game experience. Thank you very much for your attention to this matter

GC Club Glitch!
The GC club glitch, is when you can kick a person in team mode, and immediately start the game. This makes it a 2v1, giving an obvious advantage to the two-man team. Whilst it might seem funny to some people, or to others that just want a win...do not do it. This glitch is against the rules, and you will be reported for it! Don't even do it for the occasional giggles! It's a bad thing to do! If you are in a match where someone has performed this glitch, report them ingame, and then submit a 1:1 Report.

Usually players who have an outrageous amount of wins and an extreme (or no) amount of loss are checked by the GMs staff. They do have their eyes on the system.

Final Note: Do not report random people on the rankings, and do not post [someone's name here] on the forum, and accuse them swapping/dual boxing. If you need to report someone, use the following link: http://www.ntreev.net/ Then, go down to 1:1 support, and sumbit your claim. Be sure to include a screenshot!

Final-Final Note: NEVER ready in a swapping room. Even if you particapate, it is considering swapping, due to lack of activity from the other player. If you must, join a swapping room, report them ingame and take a screenshot. Then, travel to your local 1:1 support, and report them.

In-Game Rule: Leeching

Ntreev would like to keep game play as enjoyable as possible. I, Cujo, have contacted a GM about Leeching in-game. Leeching is a form of obtaining something free, and if it's unacceptable to the party, then it's just as bad as swapping (refer to PvP Rules).

Please do not post a report anywhere in the forums. If you would like to report about a Leecher, please send a 1:1 Support. When writing a report, do the following:

Game [Grand Chase]
Category [Game] [Policies]
Subject [Reporting (Insert In-Game Name) for Leeching]

Please keep the game play as enjoyable as possible. If the player was interupted for a short period of time, had an emergency, or had a good reason to leave the game; then don't create the report. If the player admits that he's not going to help the party - then take a Screen Shot (Prt Scr on the Keyboard) and send a 1:1 Support. You may also right click the player's name at the top of the Dungeon/PvP game play and write the report through there.

Note: Please be patient for the reply through 1:1 Support. A reply may take 3~7 days. Be sure to check your e-mail for any responses.

Warning about "free cash points".

Good day Grand Chase Knights,

It has come to my attention that there has been several posts recently in the event shout-boxes, and on our forums advertising free or cheap cash points and game cards.

Be wary as these sites are not endorsed by Ntreev USA, and may designed to illegally gain access to your accounts. If we did not post the link, and the claims seem too good to be true, do not trust them. Posted links to sites outside of any game we publish will be investigated, and appropriate action will be taken. If you see any questionable links posted please use the report feature to bring it to our attention.

We will officially post any promotions we run or endorse on the Grand Chase, or Ntreev website.
