Most "newbs" start out as Elesis when they enter into the PvP phase of the game, then they transition to Lire, sometimes they will make it to Arme, and about 50% of the time they'll go directly from Elesis to either Ronan or Lass.

Is it hard to learn Lire?

Nope, just a lot of patience.

Basics

Moveset

<-- - Left

--> - Right

^ - Up

V - Down

Z - Attack

X - Switch Magic/Item (Switching Magic does not work with Lire)

A - Taunt (Causes Enemy to lose MP)

S - Pet Attack

Advanced Basics

--> --> Dash

<-- <-- Dash

What can dash be used for?

Dashing lets you move faster, but Lire's dash unlike Elesis is not a continual dash, it will stop.

After a dash you can Jump (--> --> ^) This will let you go up, instead of having a little "recovery time" at the end of your dash, it can be used to avoid a dashing enemy you may see coming your way.

You can push Z to do a critical hit at the end of a dash (--> ---------> Z) Please note the attack will be in the opposite direction of your dash.

*This one requires patience to master* You can hold the second directional arrow and push Z at the very end to a do critical hit in the same direction that you're dashing, note that you will be pushed back a few steps.*

^ ^ Double Jump

What can double jump be used for?

Double jump can be used for a higher jump, a little bit of invincibility(This is extremely hard to find out exactly where you're invincible for), stomps, farther jumps, and getting behind the enemy.

--> Z Grab

<-- Z Grab

What can grab be used for?

Grabbing can be used for a lot of damage dealing, being invincible during the grab, and "fatal" kill. Note dashing into the opponent will make grabbing a lot easier, but you can grab them just by walking into them.

Stomp

^ ^ Z

What can stomp be used for?

Stomping can be used for damaging your opponent, getting an easy "Fatal" kill, and falling faster. Note Stomping only works if your oppenent is somewhat under your feet.

Techniques

Un-Aim Charging

^ Z

What can Un-Aim Charging be used for?

"Un-Aim" Charging can be used for moving with MP charged, instead of being a target. If you get stuck in an "Aim" Charging you can push Enter twice and you'll shoot an arrow and be in Un-Aim Charging.

Stomp Grab

^ ^ Z --> Z

^ ^ Z <-- Z

What can stomp grab be used for?

Stomp Grab is one of the most powerful moves you can do on an Archer, but it will require some lag between your opponent and yourself(which will always happen) Stomp grabbing takes a lot of time to get the hang of. You can Stomp Grab anywhere.

Double Grab

--> Z V --> --> Z

What can double grab be used for?

Double Grab is right next to Stomp Grab on the damage meter. You will need your opponent to fall off a cliff after the first grab, and you can either wait for them at the end, of dash down and to the direction to get them. EX : (--> Z First Grab) (V Waiting for them) (--> --> Z Second Grab) or (--> Z First Grab) (V --> --> Z Second Grab) Note you will need to dash in order to double grab if you want to fall through the platform and grab them. Double Grab takes no lag to do.

"Sliding" Skills

^ Z ---------> Z

What can "Sliding" Skills be used for?

First you have to "Un-Aim" charge, then walk towards a cliff, when you're near the edge of the cliff, you let go of Z to release your skill, but still hold the directional arrow. If you shoot a Shooting Star off the far middle left cliff, it won't reach the other side, but if you do a "Sliding" shooting star it will reach the other side.

Gauging

N/A

What can Gauging be used for?

I made up the name Gauging even though a lot of people know about it already. There is MP Gauging and Beserk Gauging. To MP gauge all you have to do is keep track of your opponent's MP make notes when he uses skills and how much he has by using your MP counter.When you figured out that he's out of MP you can unleash a 3rd Bar (Since he can't dodge it) *Note : Arme's start out with 1 1/2 Bars of MP.

Beserk Gauging is just gauging how many arrows you can still shoot before he beserks. Around 4~5 if he's Defending and around 3 if he's not(I don't know the exact numbers) When you've reached those numbers you either stop of try to stomp him.

OttoShot

----------> Z Z Z(And so on, and so on)

*Note : Long arrow means you have to hold it down.

What can OttoShot be used for?

Ottoshot for Lire is an infinite combo until they get knocked back far enough that you can't reach them, if you do Otto fast enough they can't escape unless they counter. This Otto can only be done by walking off a cliff connected to the ground. The rythm of when you hit the Z's will depend, if you're getting to close to the edge, faster. If you're getting to close in, Slower. Otto can take a lot of time to get the hang of.

NOTE : Otto is banned in Official Tournaments.

OttoShot

<-- <-- ^ Z

--> --> ^ Z

What can OttoShot be used for?

This OttoShot can be used everywhere *Note : It will be faster if you're on a slope. It is escapable if done on flat ground. When done on a slope, it is inescapable unles they have Defend or Counter you. This Otto will take a long time to get the hang of than the other.

NOTE : Otto is banned in Official Tournaments.
