This is a very helpful guide to those who needs tricks to combat Lire, mainly melee people. True, range against range is a effective way to even the playing field if your ranged character has knowledge of dodging, and is of a decent level (I wouldn't even try using my lvl 12 Lire against a lvl 25, even if they were using Archer, it's just too much of a risk to try and fight them).
Arrow Defense is good, only...T.T full-time Aegis Knights like me have that automatically set to the shield guard, so reflecting the arrow is something we cannot do unless we are in movement.
Also, I'm not sure it's completely proven, but a really good way to combat barrages of arrows, if Ryan's have enough MP, is to change into Wolf and use their rapid dash at least once. The time they are in dash is actually tangible, so they cannot be hit by any weapon until they are completely visible again. I've actually used that to combat Lires before and it's a really handy way to avoid taking hits and thus losing HP. Of course, if you aer combatting on Gorge, be sure that there is a platform that you foresuredly land on if you decide to dash without jumping.
But Lol, I really enjoy having the chance to get a Blade/Flame Buster on people from behind, or a Dark Slayer. It's really fun. >8D

I see that lasses dont actually block my arrows .

Well, last time I used my Lass I DID block arrows with him so....I think he has unless something changed recently. Maybe the Lass' you fought sucked at blocking or something?

and also XBOW FAILS dont use it :p cause you will get raped by bow+AR

A good X Bow might overcome a Bow user or even an Arch Ranger. You're yet to see a good Lire as well I see. Oh, and about stuff I never seen before....I hope you mean something more original than spamming arrows on gorge or stunning -> grab combos. It will not work. Neither running and random shooting will. Jump attacks will fail as well. You can always whisper me in game, my character is called Curia, I'd love to fight a tricky Lire with unpredictable tactics to devise new strategies and update the guide. Oh, and prepare for more than one fight please, I hate how people go away after 1 lose, or 1 win.

and akari thats where arrow defence comes into play cause while you chase me spamming jump atk ill just shoot u and youll do arrow defence and fall back to ground :p

correct XD very fast platform dash+back otto dash atk combos then random mp to slowly carve your hp to 0 then stomp u dead just like I did to raven >:D

Ahem, if you tell me the guide doesn't provide support against Pro Lires then allow me to quote myself.
4) After reading this guide you will not become Pro all of a sudden. You must practice the skills in REAL combat, which means you have to prepare for a big, long, and painful streak of loses. Also, remember that Pro Lire users might use tactics and tricks I have never seen before so brace yourself for some unexpected attacks.
It was right at the start of the guide dude. I clearly stated that Pro Lires (the ones that are truly pros) will use tactics that I might've never seen. I only fought Lires up to lvl 45, so if I actually never had enough luck to fight a good Lire, I wrote a guide how to fight the usual ones. If you are such a pro, how about a fight? I'd love to actually fight a decent Lire finally. I'll develope counter attacks to strategies used by pros and then I'll add them to the guide.
About Chakra....The initial attack (the one were Lire shoots out a lot of arrows to the sky) does no damage. The Blast Wave that comes down is the one that deals damage. After the wave hits the ground the shots explode for massive damage. That's why I said the initial hit doesn't deal damage. Evading Chakra is actually really easy. A 1 MP special is enough to dodge the blast. That's why Arch Rangers do better using their 2nd grade as it can easily be chained to a grab.

if you macreod it, the lires would go behind you and kill you. it is impossible to macro a victory.

That's when you reflect and play as normal using jump attack spams, they can't grab you while you're in the air. That and out maneuver them.

I will not dowbload any such programs as it's against the ToS. Besides, random tapping forward will not active arrow reflecting. You must be ACCURATE with the button pressing. It's hard to reflect each arrow but as someone practices he will get the hang of it. Just think of it as....dashing while the arrow hits you. You need to press forward AGAIN when you block the arrow, which is hard cause you must be good at blocking. Trust me it's NOT random. I already wrote I stood for 10 min straight blocking arrows and reflecting non, simply cause I was focused on normal blocking. Reflecting every arrow is a hard skill, but I bet you'll beat almost every Lire if you master it.
About making another guide...I dunno. I haven't seen Lire's complain they can't beat melee fighters so I doubt they really need a guide. However if this guide will gain enough popularity I might make another one that would be a "How to beat spammers" guide.

The implication here is that random forward tapping WILL activate it, if you tap enough, since all you're doing is hitting forward at the right time. And there's no better way to ensure that you hit it at the right time than to hit it 30 times per second.

I believe that its impossible to reflect all arrows, simply because such an endeavor would render anyone who could do it ridiculously overpowered. And if it were possible, someone could easily macro it and overpower every lire he met. Don't tell me "Ntreev would surely catch it" because I'm pretty sure it wouldn't unless they can check your every keystroke every minute of every day in every fight.

It would work against pro lires if you master reflecting arrows. That means every arrow they send at you is reflected back at them. They are very screwed at that point.

meh, pro lires always seem to shoot, then run away from their shooting location to shoot again, and repeat. not screwed at all :P

Arrow reflection IS not random. I know how to deflect arrows, I just need to get good at it.
