Again, I've noticed a severe drop in melee combatant skills lately. Their offensive skills are fine, but they're missing so many of the defensive basics that it leaves them open to so many attacks. Here's some defense basics designed for melee characters (of course, some of them Lire and Arme can use too).
Jump Attack
Floor Hopping
V-Step (Elesis Swordsman / Character MUST have Strong Air Control and Air Dash)
Mushidon/Rocket (All characters that can Air Dash)
Skill Chain
Safety Skill
Grapple Contest Ender

DT7:Floor Hopping This is performed with a platform you can drop from easily reached from below. Performing this simply means attacking as you're jumping up and attacking when you're dropping down and repeat the process. Like the jump attack, this makes it difficult to approach you without getting hurt and will stop all melee attackers on their tracksAdvanced Technique - Same idea, except your switch directions between the attacks, such as attacking left when going up and attacking right when going down.
So basically, drop down and immediately attack, then when jumping back up to the platform, attack as you're about to actually land on the platform to cancel the remainder of the animation? Isn't that the same theory behind melee ottoshot?

very good guide lots of things ive seen before some very anoying to fight against
few things u may add
using the pet to attack in grapple contest is often used but if u use it just after they use there pet then u recover and get to grapple them and its switched around although very hard to time this
shadow step is air dash just dont want a load of lower lvls saying im wrong when i say that and start to call me a noob
pets with people that constantly use jump attack or jump attack yourself so that your above the other person also works
this guide will make more pvp matches more interesting however
