You're not always going to assume that he has all 3 hearts, I thought he was simply in the middle of getting them.
The bracelet simply reacts when something is suspicious, which it wasn't, therefore, it's crappy.

There are (well, more like 'were') too many variables for any one assumption to be made. ;~;
Yes.. and no. It reacts to body heat. Tenseness often causes someone to feel hot. Because of the Gramarye power, he already subconsciously knows when someone is tense, and his body reacts to that, making him tense. Because the bracelet is made of a special alloy that responds to heat, it's always a perfect fit when he's at his normal body temperature. So when he becomes tense, the bracelet becomes tighter, signaling to him that something's wrong. The rest is up to him; to focus his eyes and find their Achilles Heel- their nervous habits (which they unconsciously perform when lying, avoiding the truth, et cetera).
