Well, I waited for this maintenence, hoping this would help, but still nothing. This is my situation:
I run the game, the usual patch stuff. When it comes to starting GameGuard, It initialize, the splash comes up, and after that, BAM.....Blue Screen of Death. This must be something wrong with GameGuard and certain computers. The only other Information I got is that if involves dump_wmimmc.sys. It's a registry for GameGuard.
And this have been going on since Sieghart came out.
So, if anyone can help, I can sure use it, because i uninstalled, reinstalled, disabled firewall/antivirus, and ran as administrator.But nothing Y_Y
Hey Blazer I have the same problem but my friend also had this 100% exatly same error with the BSOD and he said it took him ages and ages to fix it but he said try:
For XP: Go to start and click on Run. or search it. Then type CMD(Command Promt) and when in CMD type "sfc /scannow" (no " " included) and give it time and when finished restart.
For Vista or win7:Go to start and type in the search CMD. then right click it and go RUN as Admin. then type in "sfc /scannow" then when finished restart.
If this does not help I would get new computer/laptop and make sure its compadible with Win XP and Gameguard.sys thing.
Man, thanks a million. Now I can start on getting Sieghart.And hopefully I won't have this problem again.
