Announcement- School is closed down until people that want to teach start doing their jobs, and people wanting to be taught actually come to the classes. Alright well basically I was thinking today how Arch ranger is practically dead now. Then i started thinking of ways to encourage AR usage. So, I've come up with the idea with a few friends to start an official " AR school"!
First off, i wanna say that I don't think I'm some super mega ultimate pro. This is all just to get people to realize AR isn't useless now that first job ST was released for lire. Also, this is a HUGE work in progress, so bear with me for now with not making this organized.
Basically, me and the other teachers will be teaching people all of the In's and out's of arch ranger. everything from aiming, grabs, good movement, quick little tips, all of the combos, and even learning your opponent. In the end hopefully when people "leave the school" they will be decent if not very good with AR.
The School-------------------------------------------------------
Here's how the school is going to work. First, you post your IGN in this thread. Once done, I'll contact you in game and setup an evaluation lesson. This includes a 1v1 with me, as long as a few other little "tests" within the 1v1 match. Once evaluated, I decide whether you should start in the Beginner, Moderate, or Advanced class. If you feel you'd like to start out in beginner class, simply request it and you can start out from there. This doesn't apply to moderate and advanced classes, no requesting for those :)
The beginner class involves going through dungeons with one of the teachers. He/She will take you, along with 2 other classmates, into the dungeons and work on your aiming, movement techniques, etc.
The moderate class involves the teacher bringing you into 6-man survival rooms where he/she will teach a class of 3 students at a time. They will go over basic pvp technique. Dodging arrows, fighting against melees, dealing with classes/jobs that are the "AR killers" ( Ex. DA). Maybe even have some games to practice different concepts. " Whoever can dodge my arrows the longest wins!" or something like that.
The advanced class will be taught by me, Shields. Advanced classes will be private, 1:1 classes. I'll be teaching the advanced concepts of pvp. Things like how to take down archers, how to do excessive combos, air grabs, double grabs, all of the manual otto techniques, rocket step, knowing your opponents moves, etc.
Once you have been " passed" by the beginner or moderate teacher, the next teacher up will evaluate you in your first class in the new grade. If they don't think you are ready they will simply just degrade you and you go back to the last grade until you are ready.
Once you have passed advanced class, like I said already, you should be a good, or extremely good at AR. If you aren't, I wont let you graduate ;P
The Schedule-----------------------------------
The schedule for the classes is such:
All classes will meet on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. Later we will be having different peoples classes on other days, to accomodate more students. For now things will be like this because we don't have enough teachers, or enough students to where we need to do so.
Classes will start at 4:30 PST ( 6:30 CST, 7:30 EST)
Each student is assigned a class #. The # represents the teacher, class grade, and the TIME of the class.

***Note that you aren't required to be able to make it to every class, but if a teacher starts noticing you're not going to class at all anymore, you are on grounds for expulsion. If you miss a day or 2 of school then the teacher will just start teaching you where you left off.
Getting to class---------------------------------
Every day you have your classes, you are expected to meet at Gaikoz server, free class.There there will be rooms with your class #'s as the titles. The password for all class rooms will be, and always will be: school .
From there teachers will wait 10 minutes for their students to arrive. After that, depending on the class they are teaching, the teachers will take the class to the setting they need. If its a beginner class, they will have the class go to a certain dungeon room made by the teacher. Things like that.

Ah, wonderful seeing people havn't forgotten about old jobs with the skill trees. AR is probably one of my favorite jobs, and I get so dissapointed in the rare case I see one, that they are doing it wrong. When you got some free time maybe you can show me some tricks?

I am willing to join the AR school. My IGN is DaEvilWithin. Right now, the only classes I absolutely hate are all of Arme's, and Amy's, so I'm currently trying to learn any class I can, until I find the one I'm best at. I won't be too devoted to AR, and if that is fine, can you please PM the time (preferably in EST).

I only liked arch ranger for one reason.
