Well, I can't seem to get the game to run... I'm kind of used to it, because that seems to happen to me somehow after every patch, but it doesn't look like anyone else is having this issue, so I'm not certain.

At first, after the patch had finished, I tried to open the game, and it patched as normal, got past the loading screen, et cetera, and froze right before the login screen. Which isn't a "Slow computer" problem, because it only started to happen after the patch. I waited on it a while, decided to leave for a few hours and see if anyone else had the problem here/a remedy had been concocted.

However, when I came back to try, the patcher wouldn't even finish, saying I had a Patch Download Error and stopping in it's tracks. Since I'm utterly clueless, could someone give me any clues as to what the cause might be?

Since the original time of this post (8 hours ago, give or take), I've checked all my firewalls, ran it as an administrator, and entirely uninstalled and reinstalled the game. There don't see to be any more patch download errors, but I can never get past the KoG sign right before the login still. Likewise, I can't seem to find any feasible solution to this. Sorry if I'm a bit frantic, but I would like this fixed before I miss attendance.

For the patch download error, disable your antivirus. There is a chance that it is blocking the patch.

For the freezing before loading screen, you might want to leave it for a while. It takes quite a while for the game to go into the loading screen after a patch. For some reason.

The patch download error seemed to be fixed by reinstalling. However, the freezing before the lgoin screen still persists.

I do believe it doesn't require me to wait over two hours though, because I did.

2 whole hours? No error message?

Wow. It's supposed to kick you out with an error message saying "unable to connect" or something.

Have you disabled your antivirus?

Yeah, no kickout message, just a constant KOG starin' in my face.

Problem's solved now, so it can be closed though. I downloaded the client again from a different mirror. guess the download is corrupt for me or something.
