Hey guys so I am a 52 lass and i use thief alot but after fighting lPSDlSnuSnu and seeing alot of vids of JRTseven playing DA, iv decided to pick it back up and try it out again. Now, im not a total n00b at it or anything, i can do the invincible side-air dash thing pretty well, and im already good at delaying from all that thief play. What i would really like is someone to give me some tips/ teach me how to air lock really well cuz i can do it pretty marginally, but in on of JRT's vids he does it at like hyperspeed gets like 20 hits in by the time hes halfway to the ground lol. So if anyone can give me some good constructive tips on DA stepping and air locking strategies that would be great.

Most Da uses macros/ joy 2 key if they can do a +20 air lock , look at there dash when they do air lock there attack looks like its not moving at all ,

That's not helping at all, nor is that always true, so don't assume that. There are plenty of ways to do it without macros, you just have to practice at it.
Grand Chase is like a light show. I look at all the pretty lights until they finish, and then I realize that all of those lights were attacking me.
I use a keyboard and I'm pretty quick.
Anyways here's my protip, forget air locking, it's simple, and you don't need to be uber fast. Learn to shake. Tis hard to do it well

Snusnu has retired DA but still is by far the best on the server. Joohyun beats JRT and snu 3-0s Joo. And most DAs dont even compare to Joo so in my opinion Snu is still the rank one at da. He has the fastest otto and is smart with DA. Thats all i gotta say . Id get him to help you Gnawk.

lol then teach meh :( i played DA almost the entire month but i still cant move that like that yet =/
I spent a day in practice mode trying to figure it out.
I started by jumping and doing an entire air dash before pressing z and then dashing again.
I just did that a bunch while increasing the speed until that's how I move most of the time.
It's a bish when you try to play a different char after that though ~.~

Meh. DA is what I call... mediocre. Not saying that because it isn't as flashy (If you can call striker flashy compared to other 4th's) as striker, but just because... its mostly flopping through the air. While there are probably different techniques for doing said flopping, I've never had a problem with fighting DA's, unless we had lag between us. Maybe its just me, but I don't find the class very enjoyable at all. That said, I sure as pie can't help you with it, but if you need lire help, or SM help, just ask :P

How are you "shaking"? Sorry for being a noob but I haven't seen that before and it seems very useful.
This is shaking at its best:
shaking is the reason DA is one of the best classes.
When you shake you get invincible frames, where you can't be hit.
To shake you do what you do to air lock, but space it all out more.
When you see the animation for an air dash, you know the lines that appear, then you were invincible for a few frames. Then you just repeat that as quickly as possible to maximize the amount of invincible frames you have.
Is it easier to do than say, Flash step? I have a wireless keyboard, so I can't do a Flash Step, and I can only Shadow Step to one side =/. Is it still possible for me to learn it?

anyways, there arent many good DAs around here which makes me mad when i see a lire beat a DA (theres no excuse for that, even lag wont make a DA lose to a fackin lire). Anyone who needs DA tips can always ask me, i find enjoyment in creating competition and raising the reputation of the class as the most annoying/invincible.
My IGN is fendo11 and i go to school so u wont see me till friday-sunday or wekkdays at 5:00-7:00 if ur lucky enough (i sneak on the computer cuz im not allowed to go on during the week)
P.S. those who talk about "shaking is what makes a good DA" is simply that, JUST TALK. I dont think anyone who keeps talking about it can actually do it in practice mode, let alone effectively in a pvp match. You dont need to shake to be good. I've done massive damage without it by just using the upwards dash to go around the oppenent and airlock thier back. Also, shake is pointless if u dont know how to flash step or airlock properly (ur just gonna be teleporting in midair for no reason, they miss u, ur not hitting them so..........). I dont know how to flash step but even that is uneccessary when u can just upward dash followed by 5 airdashes to pick up speed. But all in all, everything is pointless without knowing airlock and delay. idk what to say about that comment saying "forget airlock" since its the basis of all damage as a DA beside delay grabs and/or Hypersonic Step
