ItsTehMuffin: Like half the world, I plan on being a programmer of some sorts. And my fallback plan is.. psychology. I'm told it's a strange combination. ("That's not practical! You won't find colleges offering course combinations like that!" says my mother. :x ), but I love computers, and I love analyzing things. I could be a scientist, but i hate Chemistry even more than I do Physics. And I cringe at the sight of blood (and needles), so being a doctor is out. I'm considering taking the psychology course next semester, but what the hey. :S My follow-up contingency plan falls somewhere in the business sector.

That sounds awesome. But yeah it is a strange combination. They are kinda two completely different fields. As for me I'm trying to be a Radiologist and starting during the winter/spring semester I'll finish my Phelobotomy class and start working in hospitals
Title :So whats on your mind?
Well the answer was Sieghart, OBVIOUSLY!
But now I'm thinking its Sci. ;o
Why does he post so little as a reply when he's obviously so smart?
Smart guys are hawt. Sci is hawt.
Haha, sorry. It's just, smart boys are so awesome. Especially if they wear glasses.
Boys with glasses +20 hawt points.
Boys with brains +140 hawt points.

OO
-blush-
no ones ever told me that. Well, other than my parents(but not in that way)

o:
Ooooh, that sounds fun. (Except for your evil Phlebotomy class. t~t)
They are, but I can't help what I love.
Hey, I think I have a project like this! (Relating to your field of study)
... well, not really. I don't know if EEG's fall under this category. :x
Iris Feenie
Thank you for being the only girl I know (as of now) that likes guys with glasses and are smart. -gives you a cookie and a medal- (I am being completely serious also)

EKG, ECG's fall under my field of study.
but if you mean this type of EEG
Electroencephalography (EEG) is the recording of electrical activity along the scalp produced by the firing of neurons within the brain. In clinical contexts, EEG refers to the recording of the brain's spontaneous electrical activity over a short period of time, usually 20–40 minutes, as recorded from multiple electrodes placed on the scalp
then I can vaguely help you on it
whoa
cool people having a conversation without me?!
NANI !
anywho from the looks of it you seem to have your futures planned out..... but i have to know did you go through that period after graduation where you really question what you want to do?
I swear, if you put Sia and Beard together, it'd create a person who reminds me of my younger sister so much, it isn't funny.

That's exactly what I'm looking for, actually. How EEGs help in detecting.. brain cancer? Tumors? Some sort of problem.
I need to find the project sheet so I can remember. >~>
kenshin90991: whoa whoa whoa whoa cool people having a conversation without me?! NANI ! anywho from the looks of it you seem to have your futures planned out..... but i have to know did you go through that period after graduation where you really question what you want to do?
As for me no. I've been taking med classes since I was in 9th grade so I am pretty dedicated to my plans at this time. The only problem I have right now is paying for college.
@Muffins: When you tell what your looking for I can help a little bit more
kenshin90991: but i have to know did you go through that period after graduation where you really question what you want to do?
That's where I am now.
And quite frankly, my inability to settle on one job decision frightens me. :x
I went through a period where I had nightmares about either being a waitress, fast-food employee, or hobo for the rest of my life....or worse...being a women opens up a much more degrading option...
NO! NEVER!
But at the same time...I don't want to spend 40 years of my life waking up in the morning and going....ugh...I really don't want to go into work today. Maybe I can call in sick...
I mean, I understand everyone has days like that, even in a job they love, but I'm talking about EVERY DAY of hating and loathing your job.
I watch my mother do that every morning, and I refuse to do that as well.
(she wanted to be an accountant so badly, but during her time of finding a job, women weren't allowed to be accountants. =/ )
hmm eventually youll hit that point but kudo's for being dedicated.
but from what i can see, the medical field wont be much fun once you become over worked....... yea people are killing for medical personnel.
Well Mysiaca what is something you like doing and something you enjoy doing?
Put the two together and you'll get an idea of what you wanna be
to be honest,
im more afraid of what my father told me.
what i choose to do today will be what im doing 5 years from now......... the fact that my choice will put me in a position of not having the same freedoms makes me feel weird. Im just worried about taking the next step but i know that im going to have to make a choice
kenshin90991: hmm eventually youll hit that point but kudo's for being dedicated. but from what i can see, the medical field wont be much fun once you become over worked....... yea people are killing for medical personnel.
at an annual salary of 300k, I'll take being over worked somedays
kenshin90991: anywho from the looks of it you seem to have your futures planned out..... but i have to know did you go through that period after graduation where you really question what you want to do?
Well, I still haven't decided what particular job I want.
Do I want to be an animal biologist (I studied the Mollusca phylum in class and I really found it interesting)
or maybe a cell biologist?
or something completely different
But I do know that it has to be in the field of biology because I always found that one of the most fascinating and wonderous things I have ever seen as a child and still to this day is how life works.
@Rokuna: remember, money doesn't always mean happiness. But if money makes you happy, go for it.
