Looks fun
I second the Ryan & Wolf transformation issue. I would like clarification on that myself.
Thankies Frosty~
This is going to be very fun. A good learning experience. I might even get to meet someone "famous" in this tourney... THAT would teach me a lot of the "tricks of the trade". Meheheh... I sure hope to qualify for the playoffs... likely not, but some bragging rights and good recordings would be nice to have heheh, so I'm going for it!
- Thanks Warrex! - Awesome new look!
Pro question: What if a player deliberately "runs" whilst losing, and that results in the 7:30 alotted time, (tie) would it be the current king's fault for failing to chase, and defeat the runner? Obviously I find running being an excuse for opponents with high stats, clarify that, as I don't see any rule prohibiting this, would it be the GMs call for purposely forcing a draw, or maybe resulting in both player's losses in playoffs? kthx.
This should be pretty fun!
I will probably particiapte and I hope to see some really good people out there!
I honestly think its a horrible idea.
but I could be wrong~
lets see how it plays out
I can see it now LIVING BOMB OH NOEZ I IZ DIEING -runs- some random nub dies.

If one were to be considered a horrible PvPer (take Moshup for example), really bad even... and one were to lose most matches in said rooms, then by all means, enter as many rooms as possible. If you can get into a room, then duke it out. I can't say that one's pride may still be intact after getting one's behind handed up on ye' old silver platter so many times. However, the morale of the story is... keep fighting, or die trying.
TheTrueDeraj:
If a player were to say "doOd, i dun want these prizes" we'd say... "all your bases are belong to us!" *boOm/HEADSHOT* On a serious note, the GM's would LOVE to have a system or 5 in our break room though. However, this is not the case. If a concern about prizes comes up, then we would grade the response to the situation on a case by case basis. We've run into situations in the past where a particular country would tax the "imported" prize heavily, and it wasn't worth it for the player to accept the prize. In dire situations, we'd work it out the best we can... but no promises.

It's Ze' OTTO!! - This is the age old response, but I can't say it often enough: Any attack, that can be performed indefinitely, can and will result in disqualification. The old way to "otto" was indefinite. So, negative on that flyby ghostrider, pattern is full.
Wolflock is a different story. However, the same rule applies. It is not within the intended design of the Grand Chase game that an attack move be performed indefinitely with the defending player having no recourse or action possible. I know that the GM's have been on the fence about this tactic in the past, but things change... we must improvise, adapt and eventually overcome. We'll post an official announcement on the "wolflock" at a later date, much like we did with the otto's we will limit it's usage to a manageable level.... to the best of our ability.

Good question - If a player runs out the clock or time limit, the game ends in a draw. However, if in the finals, it's a DQ. However, if in a qualifier round, a tie were to occur, the challenger or person who entered the room (second) will leave.
flamehaze3:
Great question - If a current "King of the Hill" has been holding the "hill" for 3 hours and 55 minutes, and then some narb sneaks up from behind and EVIL ATTACKS THAT doOd INTO OBLIVION!!!!...boOm headshot, they said verily! Then that so and so wasn't so much the "king" of said hill now was he? Much like any epic battle or war, to the victor goes the spoils... so stay on your toes. If you lose the "hill" 5 minutes before the tourney/qualifiers are over... all may be lost... So jump back into the room and throw a Joe Montana style comeback at em'! *Melts face!*
Awesome, another awesome Tourney =D im so in
Question: what if the King lags out due to Internet issues, do they lose their spot?
Ark:
That pretty much applies to any of our tourney's, games and or events... If a player does not have an internet connection stable enough to man-handle the capacity of ye' olde Grand Chase, then they're out. This particular tourney moves way to fast for restarts, and there's nothing aside from a "wait in line" to stop that person from jumping in to another room.
I know "things" happen, but as with any game company, we cannot accomodate for the infinite number of posssibilities associated with the MILLIONS of different types of PC setups, ISP's, random acts of god(s), lagging, geographic location, weather, phone lines and or cable pullers that my cause a D/C.

The ST concerns use to be deep seeded and a major concern all parties involved had shared.
We've done our best to work alongside KOG and balance the heck out of those Trees (losing massive sleeps in the process! I think that Killigrew, Harlee, Chaos and I can keep Moster and Red Bull in business for years), and I agree that to TRULY hold a craziest of crazy tourneys that all Characters should have the Skill Tree available. Maybe when all things are said and done *cough* moar skill trees *cough* we'll come up with an even better tourney or re-cap the old style tourneys to see if we can shake things up a bit.
wait, you're saying that its whoever is the king LAST?
I thought it went by a point basis of how many points you accumulated during the qualifyer hours?
What I'm referring to is the "King of the Hill" portion of the tourney.
The points portion is what qualifies a player to get into the Finals.
So a player may have accumulated a metric truck-ton of points, and that player will qualify to get into the Finals, but if that player loses the "Hill/Qualifier" then that player would lose out on the iPod prize. However, any player with enough points to get into the Finals will play on Friday in a guaranteed spot, and chances are that the player who took that "Hill" on the last qualifier day, may not have the points to get into the Finals... ya follow me?
