kenshin90991: eh...... if you bought the game when it was 50 bucks, you may have seen valve cross the line. i mean most of thier games are great but personally i feel they are being greedy. again thats my own opinion basically i payed 50 bucks for a FULL game and got a game that was awesome at its core but half done. i mean 4 campaigns thats it + the one coming out this month? 8 guns 4 of which are just upgraded versions of the baiscs. i mean really. then less than a year later they come out with another one? if you ask me it should have been attached to the original as an expansion, because it isnt worth 50 bucks if valve is just going to make a new one. i think what i hate more is the greed of it all, i mean i love thier games and most of them have replay value more than any other game i can think of. but this is pathetic. counter strike source cost me 20 bucks and the community + steam are still going strong. and your telling me that a year later after L4D they want to make A SEQUAL* that will cost as much as the original? that is bull. granted i still think ill get the game, eventually. but really this isnt a full game, its just an expansion and i definately dont agree with getting charged 50 bucks for half a game. not again anyway biggest complaint with L4D not enough weapons........... i would honestly rate l4d as my lowest replay value game, i bought it in december and my friends got in in june and we have all stopped playing it you know why BECAUSE WE HAVE DONE EVERYTHING IN THE GAME. i mean really. PC community support sucks, no auto dl' custom maps, no you have to go to the website and do it all manually, which interrupts the flow of game play! I NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH CSS horray for auto Dl. but really ITS THE SAME BASIC MAPS WITH THE SAME BASIC AI and dont give that director crap, because it can only make it so hard before it gets boring, doing expert over and over is lame. I honestly feel like they are gonna ditch original L4D and move to 2, then eventually watch as they make 3 next november because they are bored with 2! lol thats the worst case scenario. well thats MY OPINION and i know alot of you dont feel this way, but i do so eh sorry i guess. oh half life 2, garry's mod, All counter strikes, Day of defeat you know what they have in common. left4dead not 2 1 they adding 2 new maps and plus l4d2 has 5 maps and a secert playing mode. All i want is that wandering witch rematch

reda i didnt quite understand what you where trying to get at, but this is what i meant.
many people payed 50 bucks for a full game, when in truth your really only getting half a game, basically i payed and did not FEEL (opinion) i got my moneys worth maninly because they promoised us plenty of new content but they have yet to go through with this. surivavl mode is a joke hence is why i bought killing floor (go watch it on youtube) i dont consider lighthouse a new map because its just one darn ligthouse and again survival is a freaking joke. then we have the new campaign that im looking forward to. but that doesnt change the fact that its only 10 months old and they are dropping it ( practically they say they will support it but thats a load of bull.) so basically they had many people pay 50 bucks for something that was worth 20 or 30 dollars.

4 maps
custom maps are a pain in the A** to get and dont even matter because by the time you get them no one is playing them on a server (hence is why it needs auto DL) if they got Auto DL i think i would come to love it, but no
5 basic weapons (i say 5 because the uzi, m16, mini 14, hunting shotty, and shotty, are practically upgrades, there is no different weapon in that dam game and that is extremely boring after 10 months.) hell i cant even use skins to change the looks of the guns on a game that isnt even professional (as in im not being payed to play it.) i mean c'mon that say the community support by valve sucks and that is some of the reason why this game doesnt last long.
so if we put those L4D 1 + 2 together we get
10 maps
4 modes
somewhere around the ball park of 10 + weapons
and different characters
you know what compare that to any other game you pay 50 bucks for....... when i do that much content actually looks like a 50 dollar game where as "vanilla," l4d doesnt.
so what i am pissed about is that L4D2 should not be another standalone game, when infact it is the content that they promised us back in december and january. so basically they are being greedy for the first time and it totally isnt like valve to do something like this. and dont say its the maps because those are half A**ed attempts to appeas us when we all know you can turn on steam and create maps for free, its just getting random people to play is hard because of no Auto DL. honestly i feel bad for xboxers, they got the worst end of the deal.
lets look at battlefield 2 (there is no single player and the game cost me 60 bucks back in 2004)
now the game has lasted since then, starting with 25+ weapons, 12 or so maps, and no singleplayer
then they relased maps and the expansion pack which was 30 dollars. that included 8 or so new maps, 12+ new weapons, and stealth mechanic, again no singleplayer
then the booster pack euro forces and Armored fury introducing 5 new weapons 8 maps + a new country (euro forces) + 5 new vehicles for 10 bucks each booster pack.
now that game has no singleplayer campaign and look at the content they gave us? and they are still going with the release of patch 1.5 giving us FREE BOOSTER PACKS now + A NEW MAP OVER THE 3 THEY HAVE ALREADY GIVEN US.
and to top that lets see ill have payed as much if not less than buying the 2 l4d's
i bought euroforces+special forces+orginial so around 100 bucks back in 2007.
now tell me why i cant be disappointed, bf2 has no single player and it still had way more content, so is l4d really a "full" game. i think not.
